Of COURSE, he was running a sting operation!

Simpson said he was conducting a sting operation to collect his belongings when he was led to the room at the Palace Station casino. Police said he was a suspect in a break-in at the hotel.
"Everybody knows this is stolen stuff," Simpson said by phone while still in Las Vegas on Friday. "Nobody was roughed up." (more at link)

Hmm, Is anyone hearing "If the glove doesn't fit, you must acquit"?

OJ has never been "trustworthy"... this was in an article on a local station's site about the death of a man who, in 1967, was paralyzed playing football because helmets were not made to protect back then...

<snip>
"The Pelton family sued the helmet maker, claiming defective equipment. After months in a Sacramento courtroom, the manufacturer brought in their star witness, O.J. Simpson of the Buffalo Bills. Simpson convinced the jury the helmets are safe. The Peltons lost, and the jury asked for O.J.'s autograph.

"We lost because O.J. Simpson went over there and told a bunch of lies," said Margaret."

Why would a citizen be running a sting operation? That sounds like a big fat lie. And, even if he thought the stuff was stolen, why didn't he call the police, or bring in his pile of lawyers?

The man makes me crazy.

It sounds like OJ thinks he is now a member of the Las Vegas PD. He stated that he was on a Sting Operation!!!!! I hope that they nail his rear good. I can't stand to even look at the creep.

A poster on another forum I frequent has discovered that the fellow robbed was no stranger to Simpson. He quoted the following articles:

An article from October 27, 2004:

Friend to testify in O.J. Simpson wrongful death suit
SANTA MONICA, Calif. (AP) — A friend of O.J. Simpson has been ordered to appear in court regarding the finances of the former football star, who was acquitted of double murder but slapped with a $33.5 million settlement that remains unpaid to the victims’ families.
Alfred Beardsley must appear Nov. 23 in Los Angeles Superior Court in Santa Monica. The order, issued Tuesday, was at the request of Fred Goldman, whose son Ron Goldman was brutally stabbed to death along with Nicole Brown Simpson.
Fred Goldman’s attorney wrote in a declaration filed with the court that Beardsley “has knowledge” of Simpson’s “financial condition” and of his “non-exempt property, which may be ordered to be applied to the satisfaction of the judgment.”

-snip-
Today, a man named Alfred Beardsley was subpoenaed to appear in court to see if he was helping O.J. squirrel away cash. Beardsley is an O.J. Simpson fan and memorabilia collector. The Goldman family suspected Beardsley might be up to no good after hearing he‘d done some business with Simpson in the past. Here‘s what O.J. had to say about that.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
SIMPSON: For them to tell the courts that this guy is a friend of mine, other than the guy who‘s an autograph collector, who I may have seen twice in my life, twice in my entire life. Certainly I‘ve never done any business with him, other than autographs.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
ABRAMS: We will talk to the man at the—we talked to the man at the center of that court hearing, Alfred Beardsley earlier today. He said when he reported to the courthouse, there was a closed door hearing and he was forced to give over two press passes that would be considered O.J. Simpson memorabilia.

As TMZ reports, a war has ensued over the impending sale of the suit OJ Simpson was wearing in court on the day of hit “Not Guilty” verdict.
David Cook, the lawyer for Fred Goldman (father of the man Simpson slaughtered), filed legal papers Monday in Santa Monica asking a judge to grab that suit.
[Memorabilia salesman Alfred Beardsley] said he had a conference call this morning with Cook and Kim Goldman. Beardsley says he plans to acquire the suit, and the trio talked about the Goldmans getting a percentage of the sale to help satisfy the outstanding judgment. The court could engineer the ground rules tomorrow.

This is going to get real interesting......

So my take is that OJ gave this guy his stuff so Goldmans couldn't get to it. Now OJ wants it back, but doens't want to pay for it so he decided to steal it instead. The plot thickens!

That is exactly my take on it.

With the Goldmans' book coming out, it was probably driving him crazy that they were going to make the money off it instead of him. You don't think it a coincidence that this happened at the same time, do you? This guy is truly pathological.

I think that is just all a continued ongoing investigation into his (OJ's) search for the real killer -

You betcha! And OJ, being the rocket scientist that he, (although having beat a murder rap, he probably does feel justifiably he's brilliant) decides to get them back with a gun in hand.

Idjit.

OJ, OJ, OJ...for the love of God, just arrest his sorry azz and get him off the TV!! If I wanted to watch him this much, I would have rented one of his stupid movies.

Sorry, had to vent.

Going back to being productive.
