I se

I see a resemblance - any way to find out if Paulette had breast implants?

I'm not sure how. Her family might know if she had them before she went of the radar. Maybe there is more info to come when they get her into Namus. She also could have gotten them after she went missing.

Interesting. Google and Googlemaps say there isn't a 56th Street in Las Vegas.

maybe #20 156th Street? Looks to me on Google Maps that the location of 56th Street may now be under an Interstate?

Vegas has likely changed quite a bit since 1984. I was last there in 1978, stayed at the MGM Grand before the fire. Do they still have a lion there???

I found a section of town where the streets went up to 30th, but then it switched to named streets (Mojave, etc.) I wonder if some of the streets have both a name and a number, or used to be numbered but were given names later?

Roads may have been assigned numbers when the area was initially surveyed a century or so ago.

I've noticed signs east of Lincoln, Nebraska for 194th Street -- looked like a Midwestern county section line to me.

Likely re-named street, we need a Local!

I posted a request for help on Steve Koecher's thread; I know a lot of Las Vegas people have been active there.

Hi carbuff & all! Las Vegas local here. I've been here for 43 years and am sure there has never been a 56th street. 5th or 6th, yes. Those streets and the zip code of 89101 would be the downtown area.

I'm curious, the family says they never heard from Paulette or her boyfriend again. But they have his name. Is there any indication they've attempted to find him?

Hey fairy1, I was hoping you'd find us :D

Might that be an address for any of the surrounding towns, like Henderson? I'm thinking that if they were stopped at a motel or something she might not have realized she was in a different town.

I presume they've attempted to find him, but it doesn't really say.

I don't believe it would be Henderson, either. Henderson was much, much smaller back in 1984 than it is now and I don't recall there were any numbered streets ever - even in "old" Henderson. The downtown area of Vegas proper, IMO, would have been a more likely place for somewhat transient folks to stay then. And now.

Seems to me the boyfriend should be tracked down if he's still around. I wonder if LE ever questioned him.

Also, shouldn't this thread be in the 1980's missing?

I wish we knew what information was shared in the post card. Were they still en route to California? If that's the case, it's possible she isn't actually missing from Vegas and we would want to cast a wider net.

There has never been a 56th or 156th street in Vegas. With the corresponding zip code, most likely from 26th street which was there in 1984 and is here now.
