FARGO — A 21-year-old woman who lived in Fargo was reported missing to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and the Bureau of Indian Affairs last month, and her family in North Dakota still has not heard from her in weeks.
Tanya Skar left her Fargo home in late December to travel with her boyfriend William Reno to Las Vegas and possibly later on to Arizona in order to escape North Dakota's frigid winter, said Charlotte Rusch, Tanya's sister.
Tanya called her family multiple times each day and was in "constant contact" with them, Rusch said. She didn't have a cellphone, but she would call her family on Reno's phone or send Facebook messages. Rusch, who lives in Fargo, last spoke to her sister over the phone on Jan. 11.
