So the mom drops him off at the basketball courts in Ticonderoga on the 19th; he contacts a family member or friend on June 21st from Moriah, which is a half hour away. He isn't reported as missing until June 24th. Was he meeting up with a friend/gf/bf at the basketball courts? Did his mother know he was going to Moriah? Was it common for Adrian to be gone a few days? Does he have a history of running away from home? Why wasn't he reported to the police as missing until the 24th? Where was Adrian's last known location? And who saw him on that day to give a detailed description of what he was wearing?

don't know what to say .... is this a new age means where if you get upset with a friend you just kill them ..... i guess it is easier than working things out ....... so sad my thoughts are with the families a useless tragedy

UPDATED: Putnam murder suspect jailed without bail
The Ticonderoga teen who allegedly killed his 15-year-old friend Thursday was sent to Washington County Jail without bail on Friday after not guilty pleas were entered on his behalf, authorities saying later in the day that a wound to the victim's neck led to his death.
Sawyer is accused of killing Maverick Bowman in a home owned by Bowman's family on county Route 2 in Putnam Station. Records filed by police as part of the investigation show they believe he was killed with a machete, and officials said they had argued about a girl before the attack.

The case was adjourned until Aug. 21 in Putnam Town Court, but the Washington County District Attorney's Office filed paperwork that indicated a grand jury will hear the case as soon as Aug. 8. Jordan said he anticipated the Aug. 21 hearing will be rendered moot by grand jury action beforehand, which would result in the case being transferred to Washington County Court.

North Country teen accused of killing friend pleads not guilty
At his Thursday morning arraignment in Washington County, Sawyer pleaded not guilty to counts of second degree murder and second degree arson. Investigators say he set the home on fire after taking Bowman's life.

“At this point, we are setting it up. There is a lot to this case that has yet to come out,” defense attorney Marc Zuckerman said. “I think we have a very strong defense.”

Zuckerman, who is co-defending Sawyer with attorney Julie Garcia, says his legal team is considering a defense of not guilty by reason of extreme emotional disturbance.
