NY - Billionaire Jeffrey Epstein arrested, sex trafficking, 6 July 2019 *FOUND DECEASED IN JAIL* #4

Jeffrey Epstein's circle of friends and associates is part of how he maintained his influence, even when his crimes were known. He traded in the kinds of access and facetime that even the most powerful people crave.

The CIA director, Goldman's top lawyer, Noam Chomsky, the Bard College president, a Kissinger consultant and a Rothschild. They all met Epstein in the years after his conviction, new documents show.

Mr. Botstein, 76, president of Bard College since 1975, had about two dozen meetings scheduled with Epstein over about four years, which were mostly visits to the townhouse.

“I was an unsuccessful fundraiser and actually the object of a little bit of sadism on his part in dangling philanthropic support,” said Mr. Botstein. “That was my relationship with him.”

“We looked him up, and he was a convicted felon for a sex crime,” he said. Bard has a large program providing education to prisoners, he said. “We believe in rehabilitation.”

News articles about Jeffrey Epstein purchasing a 14-year-old girl from Europe were allegedly included in J.P. Morgan's due diligence reports about the pedophile, according to an amended complaint filed in connection with a lawsuit against the bank by lawyers for the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The complaint alleges that executives at J.P. Morgan should have known that the girl lived in a property owned by the pedophile.

It then further alleges that the largest bank in the country transferred over $600,000 from accounts controlled by Epstein into the girl's own personal J.P. Morgan account.

"Like other women who received payments from Epstein, Jane Doe 1 listed Epstein’s apartments on 66th Street in New York City as her address, which should have been a red flag to JP Morgan," reads the complaint obtained by Inside Edition Digital.

The judge overseeing lawsuits alleging JPMorgan Chase & Co. and Deutsche Bank AG knowingly benefited from Jeffrey Epstein’s sex trafficking operation explained his reasoning behind allowing some claims to proceed but dismissing several others.

US District Judge Jed Rakoff issued a 54-page opinion Monday elaborating on a four-page ruling March 20 that tossed most claims against the banks in separate proposed class action suits by two Epstein victims, each identified only as Jane Doe. Rakoff also threw out three of four claims against JPMorgan in a US Virgin Islands suit.

“As counsel to many survivors of the Jeffrey Epstein sex trafficking conspiracy, we write regarding the failure of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to properly, adequately, or timely investigate the sex trafficking of hundreds of girls and young women,” wrote Jennifer Freeman, senior counsel at the Marsh Law Firm. “The FBI utterly failed to investigate serious allegations involving Epstein’s, and perhaps others’, child sex abuse materials (CSAM), significant additional criminality which, until recently, has been disregarded, disrespected, and essentially denied.”

“ For many years, the public has been asking for a reckoning by the FBI and the United States government for its clear dereliction of duty to serve and protect the American people against the Epstein sex trafficking conspiracy,” wrote Freeman, adding, “However, we are aware of no investigation of the FBI and certainly no public disclosure or explanation.”

“Epstein and Maxwell’s victims, and the public at large, are owed a full accounting of the FBI’s many failures and missed opportunities. The American people, the victims, and the survivors deserve the truth.”

Judge rejects motion to disqualify JPMorgan law firm tied to prominent #JeffreyEpstein survivor

JPMorgan can continue to be represented by a powerhouse law firm that previously represented an anti-trafficking organization associated with one of Jeffrey Epstein’s prominent survivors, a federal judge ruled.

Late last year, Epstein survivors sued JPMorgan and Deutsche Bank, claiming that they knowingly profited from his sex trafficking scheme. Epstein was a JPMorgan customer between 1998 and 2013, and then, Deutsche picked him up as a client until 2018.

Epstein officially became a convicted sex offender in 2008, and both banks continued to do business with him for years — and allegedly, turned a blind eye to suspicious, yet profitable, transactions.

Senior U.S. District Judge Jed Rakoff, a sharp critic of Wall Street, advanced the lawsuits against both banks in late March, and the parties have been sharing evidence for broad discovery, including arranging the deposition of CEO Jamie Dimon. During another deposition, the lead plaintiff suing JPMorgan accused the bank’s former senior executive Jes Staley of sexual assault.

Elon Musk was issued a subpoena in a lawsuit that accuses JPMorgan of knowingly benefiting from Jeffrey Epstein's sex-trafficking

lon Musk was issued a subpoena by the US Virgin Islands in its lawsuit accusing JPMorgan Chase & Co. of knowingly benefiting from Jeffrey Epstein’s sex-trafficking.

The U.S. territory said in court papers it had reason to believe Epstein may have referred or attempted to refer Musk to JPMorgan as a client. Several other billionaires, including the Google co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin, have also been issued subpoenas by the USVI.

Musk’s attorney Alex Spiro didn’t respond to questions about the subpoena via email, but the Tesla Inc. chief executive officer addressed the issue on Twitter in a response to a posted article, calling it “idiotic.”

An assistant prosecutor in Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg's office attended a court conference related to the JPMorgan/Epstein litigation this week. The bank is seeking records from his office, according to the court docket.

A spokesperson for the district attorney's office said: "A protective order is in place, so we cannot comment on the nature of the requested documents."

The settlement, announced by lawyers for women who say they were abused by the late financier, is believed to be the largest sex trafficking settlement with a bank in U.S. history, according to law firm Edwards Pottinger.

In 2014, the venture capitalist Peter Thiel was gaining prominence as one of Silicon Valley’s most successful entrepreneurs and investors. He had made billions of dollars as a co-founder of PayPal and Palantir, where he was chairman; and he sat on the board of Facebook, where he was the company’s first outside investor.

That made him an ideal contact for Jeffrey Epstein, the convicted sex offender with a knack for cultivating the rich and powerful.

Mr. Thiel apparently had several meetings with Mr. Epstein that year, according to scheduling records of the disgraced financier that were reviewed by The New York Times.

The records reviewed by The Times, which begin in 2011, are not a comprehensive accounting of Mr. Epstein’s meetings. They do not cover every day, and even full years are missing.

Jeremiah Hall, a spokesman for Mr. Thiel, declined to comment.

Bill Gates had an affair with a Russian bridge player in 2010. Jeffrey Epstein found out about the affair and later threatened Gates.

A spokesperson for Bill Gates confirms Epstein threatened him.

Mila Antonova, the Russian bridge player, declined to comment on Gates and said she didn’t know who Epstein was when they met. “I had no idea that he was a criminal or had any ulterior motive,” she said of Epstein. “I just thought he was a successful businessman and wanted to help.” She added: “I am disgusted with Epstein and what he did.”

In 2017, Epstein contacted Gates about the Russian bridge player, years after the relationship had ended, according to people familiar with the matter. He sent an email to Gates asking to be reimbursed for the costs of Antonova’s coding school, the people said.

The sum was immaterial for the two men and the tone of the message was that Epstein knew about the affair and could expose it, the people said.

The spokeswoman for Gates said he didn’t make a payment. “Mr. Gates had no financial dealings with Epstein,” she said.

Is there any mention of the age of the Russian bridge player? In the photos, she looks rather young. JMO

One exhibit is described as showing “Governor Bryan’s suggestions for which schools Epstein should donate $50,000.”

Another exhibit states: “Albert [Bryan] asked that the $30K go to the VI Little League.”

A third describes a discussion of a “$25,000 private gift to current Governor Bryan’s inaugural committee.”

Another part of the document details former first lady Cecile deJongh’s alleged role in tweaking the Virgin Islands sex-offender legislation to Epstein’s liking.

“Is there anything you want me to do re the hearing tomorrow?” deJongh wrote to Epstein before the passage of the legislation, according to the document. “I am going to try to find out if anyone from justice has been asked to testify again on Monday.”

JPMorgan claims that Epstein’s personal attorney Maria Hodge exchanged emails and phone calls with the territory’s Department of Justice and attorney general about changes to the bill, which ultimately weren’t to his satisfaction.

First lady deJongh, the bank says, offered Epstein “comfort.”

“I know this was a horrible week and i am really sorry about how things panned out,” she allegedly wrote. “Not being able to take someone at their word is incredibly frustrating. However, all is not lost and we will figure something out by coming up with a game plan to get around these obstacles.”

  • Sex offender Jeffrey Epstein paid school tuition for the children of then-governor of the U.S. Virgin Islands, whose wife made efforts to enable student visas and a work license for young women connected to Epstein, according to a court filing by JPMorgan Chase.

Two young women stride along a New York street, barely breaking step to flash smiles at the camera. One of them is slightly out of focus but her face - and the face of her friend - is unmistakable. Chillingly so.

The woman on the right is Russian bridge player Mila Antonova, the woman alleged this week to have been the former lover of billionaire Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates- as well as an associate and financial beneficiary of the late financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

What makes this photograph sensational, however, is the presence of the flame-haired woman on the left. She is none other than notorious Moscow spy Anna Chapman.
