It's ridiculously easy to determine the presence of X and Y chromosomes through PCR. Why hasn't this been done?

Of those three, I think Lina Ham is the best candidate.

Vernon Jones was last seen in Lower Manhattan, pretty far and out of the way from the location of the remains. I suppose it's possible, though, that his body could've been disposed of in the East River and, because "the East River’s direction of flow changes with the time of day" it could've floated northward. Vernon disappeared about 16 months before this body was found, longer than the estimated PMI, but the estimate could be wrong.

Even farther is Staten Island, from where Elizabeth Bump disappeared. I couldn't find a last known location, but what are the chances that a body disposed of there would float all the way up into the Bronx instead of being carried out to the Atlantic? I don't know the water currents here, but I don't feel that's likely.

Lina Ham, though, lived in the Bronx. The only strike is that she was seen more than two years before the body was found, but again, the PMI could be wrong.

So far, it looks like Lina Ham might be the best possibility.

If you want or someone wants to send it as a possibility, they can do it.

I tried to this morning, but the NamUs link for this person seems to be down. I even tried googling "UP7597," and all that came up was this thread. Maybe this person has been identified?

Hmm... perhaps NamUs has the wrong date?
Maybe...
There are a lot of articles on dismembered bodies. It's weird that this one never made it to the news.

Speaking of dismembered bodies, most of them were Rifkin's victims. I wonder if this Doe is one of his victims who were never found?

Julie Blackbird- Remains never found
"Number 6"- Never identified, remains never recovered

I'm not sure, might be a stretch considering they were found a while after he was arrested (depending how old they were)

That 'Number 6" and 'Number 9" thing on his wikipedia page is just so unnerving jeez
