The fact that "dad" was wearing a disguise goes against the mental break theory IMO. Putting a disguise together took time and suggests "dad" knew he did something very wrong.

This case makes me sick. I hope they find the baby soon.

I think the note was left simply so he plea insanity. Was just an act. Leaving car for wife, disguise, The note, etc. He knew exactly what he was doing. JMO.

Syracuse police are stationed near the Syracuse Inner Harbor Creekwalk this morning.

The trail underneath the Van Rensselaer Street bridge was roped off with police tape. An officer locked the wooden gate at the parking lot near Van Rensselear Street and Bear Road.

A marked patrol car parked on the trail near the Van Rensselear Street. Another officer parked near the Hiawatha Boulevard bridge over Onondaga Creek.

Something happened t the baby while on his watch and he freaked out hid her body and left the car for wife and took off.

Syracuse police officers and FBI agents are searching the banks of Onondaga Creek near Destiny USA.

A relative of Maddox's mother said family members are out searching and that they have received no new information since last night.

Marked patrol cars have been on the scene of the Onondaga Creekwalk in Syracuse since at least 7 a.m. FBI agents, Syracuse police officers and a crime scene unit are walking on the trail between Hiawatha Boulevard and the Bear Street bridge, focusing on the banks of Onondaga Creek, and a command post has been set up.

New York State police are on standby in Lysander, according to an official. They are awaiting orders from the search command center.

Our crew at the scene tells us dumpsters behind the Subway Restaurant and Colonial Laundromat on E. Genesee Street in Baldwinsville were searched after authorities received a tip.

A group independently searching for Maddox called police, saying there may have been children's socks and a blanket found in the dumpster.

Crews did not find anything suspicious related to Maddox.
