Man Arrested on Way to Tie Nancy Grace to a Tree Naked, Slit Her Throat
    Neetzan Zimmerman Today 4:27pm

A western New York man who tweeted his plans to murder controversial TV personality Nancy Grace was apparently in the process of taking his threats to the next level when he was arrested last week on his way out of town.

David Lee Simpson, 48, had apparently taken issue with comments Grace made during the trial of Jodi Arias.

The Bath resident had become "infatuated" with Arias, and tweeted that he wanted to strap Grace and her colleague Jane Velez-Mitchell to a tree naked and then "slit their throats."...

Wow! I'm glad they caught the due before anything horrible happened.

Jodi Arias Fan Accused of Threatening TV Anchors, Said He'd Gut One "Like a Deer"
By Matthew Hendley Tue., Jul. 23 2013 at 11:53 AM
    Phoenix New Times

    http://blogs.phoenixnewtimes.com/valleyfever/2013/07/jodi_arias_fan_accused_of_thre.php

Snipped this portion which is also about threats to a local Phoenix woman.

"As usual, it was difficult to understand exactly what the case was about, because Arpaio doesn't really understand the whole Internet thing.

Arpaio -- who continued to refer to himself in the third person, as "the sheriff" -- said Simpson also threatened a local woman on "the Twitter."

According to Arpaio, this lady was "unhappy with this guy's Twitters" about the Arias case.

Simpson became infuriated with her and started sending messages to her "across the Twitters." It's unclear what happens when a message is transported all the way from one side of the Twitters to the other.

Arpaio's press team later clarified, "Simpson openly named and called out his intended victims, which also included a Phoenix woman who defended the commentator's coverage of the trial on Twitter.""

    And

"According to the Sheriff's Office, local cops in New York pulled over Simpson after he quit his job and said he was leaving town, and police found several guns, shotgun ammo (but no shotgun), handcuffs, zip-ties, binoculars, a knife, and a police radio in the car.

He also had newspaper clippings in his car from the Newtown shooting, the shooting of four New York firefighters, and one of Arpaio's bestiality busts."

    Bath Man Threatens Network Anchors

    WENY TV

"BATH--(WENY) 48-year-old David Lee Simpson of Bath is being held at the Steuben County jail on charges of stalking and computer tampering.
Investigators say he's obsessed with Jodi Arias and didn't like how two female anchors covered the trial.
Simpson made death threats to them on Twitter and those threats are being taken very seriously.
Police took David Simpson into custody on East Morris Street last week, after a 5 week investigation.
Neighbors tell us he was living in a camper in the parking lot of the autobody shop where he worked.
"He was very quiet, very to himself, hard worker, as far as we knew. We took our vehicles over to him many times," says Heather Quick. -

    And

"For months Simpson allegedly used Twitter to threaten the lives of two network anchors and a woman from Phoenix defending the anchors' commentary on the Arias trial.
"He was making specific threats that he was going to tie these individuals to trees, slit their throats some sexual comments. They were quite graphic and quite disturbing," says investigator Heather Barry of the Bath Police Department.
Simpson reportedly made specific threats on July 15th, saying he was in the area where one of the anchors lives."

Note: There is a two and a half minute + video report at the link that shows a picture of him, of the place where he worked, of the trailer he lived in, and the ARRAY of WEAPONS they confiscated from him. At the time of the report, they were still looking for another shotgun they believe he possessed.
He appears to me to have been a very serious threat.
