Update: word is, in US v. Sean Combs, we'll do it all over again tomorrow Sept 18 at 3:30 pm - Diddy will be appealing today's denial of bail. Not yet in the docket, but that's what Inner City Press is hearing - and will cover it.
Thank you. I think we need a whole new thread for the criminal case. This thread is for a civil lawsuit against Combs.

Sean “Diddy” Combs allegedly forced victims into sometimes dayslong sexual performances called “freak offs” with male commercial sex workers – some of who he transported over state lines – and often electronically recorded them, U.S. attorney Damian Williams said.Controlled substances were a regular part of the performances “to keep victims obedient and compliant,” according to the indictment.

Follow up on what Peter @ LYK said about the NDA's women signed and received money for.

"One way around them is for the party to be compelled to testify under oath in a criminal or civil case. A private confidentiality agreement does not prevent being compelled by law to give testimony as part of a legal proceeding. In a criminal case or before a grand jury, the government can compel the testimony through the use of a subpoena. In a civil case, a person with relevant knowledge can be forced to testify by subpoena. A private NDA is not a defense to giving testimony compelled by law. I suspect most NDAs say that the party will not disclose absent legal compulsion. But without a legal obligation to disclose, the party would be violating the agreement by talking,” says Germain.'

During Combs' arraignment hearing Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 17, his attorney, Marc Agnifilo, said Combs is in “treatment and therapy for things that most respectfully he needs treatment and therapy for and he’s getting that."

Combs, who pleaded not guilty in court, was denied bail and remanded to custody as he awaits trial. Prosecutors also alleged he had what appeared to be drugs in the Manhattan hotel room where he was arrested on Monday.

Let's move to the thread specifically about the CRIMINAL case. (This thread is about the civil lawsuit.)
