His descendants — he and his wife, Mary, had 10 children — went on to be successful in their own right, including excelling in athletics at Loyola University and taking over the family businesses, while a grandchild is a state delegate. One of his 37 grandchildren is now a person of interest in the shocking killing in Manhattan of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson.

Has anyone found a link or report to confirm he has an injury? I felt he moved around darn well IMO
there was an xray image of spinal screws on his X account but of course no 100% bona fide medical info about his medical history- HIPPA etc. IMO

I believe the police said that his keeping the gun was the indicator to them that they may have captured him “midstream.”

Who other than LM knows right now if he had another target in mind, or several targets.

LE also took note that in his manifesto he said “parasites,” plural.

I do hope LM confesses and reveals how and why he enacted this crime with pinpoint precision.

Hoping they caught him in time to stop more innocent people being murdered.
For those who think LE have the wrong man -- I disagree.
He looks exactly like the person who had to remove his mask for the hostel woman at the check in.
And an ounce of prevention and all that...

Eta : LE also matched the fraudulent ID he had on his person , to the one used in NYC.
More proof !

Should the police have waited until LM committed yet another crime ?
No.
They matched the gun, and that right there is a very good start in making sure they have the right perp.
Omo.

If his Twitter account is still up, you can see that he just stopped posting/reposting/engaging, sometime in June. This coincides with the reports that he dropped off the map in the summer.
someone posted one of those pages that pulls address and phone number history on an entered name. I cant find it now but his name linked to a property in maryland and the most recent sale was in June 2024. Maybe he bought a house there

We live in a culture that laughs about prison sexual violence and cheers for an assassin.

True, but our legal systems are based on rehabilitation, not punishment.

Plus, there's the question - how much violence justifies violence? How many beatings justifies a murder? How many sexual assaults justify a shooting?

Has this been confirmed by msm?
I mean other than the roommate who said it had been mentioned to him but he also couldn’t confirm, right?

The roommate said that he saw x-rays of the screws in LM’s spine. He also goes into quite a bit of detail about how before LM moved in with him LM had said he had a back issue and hoped to get stronger in Hawaii and that later on LM was left bedridden for a week after a basic surf lesson and that it was “very traumatic and difficult”.

I hate reading images, so here is the criminal complaint (text copied directly from my computer's read of the image, so there could be errors):

TO WIT: On the aforementioned date and time, On December 9th, 2024, at 0914 hours, Affiant Ptlm. Frye and Co-Affiant Ptlm. Detwiler with the Altoona Police Department were dispatched to 407 E Plank Road, Altoona, for a suspicious male who resembled the male from a recent shooting in New York from December 4th. Officers were advised in the dispatch notes that the male was wearing a medical mask and a beanie.

Upon arrival, Officers were able to locate the male matching the aforementioned description sitting in the rear of the building at a table.

He was wearing a blue medical mask and was looking at a silver laptop computer that was placed on the table. The male also had a backpack on the floor near the table he was sitting at. Co-Affiant made contact with the male and informed that Officers were called to the McDonalds for a suspicious male matching his description. Co-Affiant asked the male to pull down his medical mask so he could see his face. The male complied and pulled down his mask; Affiant and Co-Affiant immediately recognized him as the suspect from New York City incident after seeing photos released of him from media sources. Co-Affiant asked the male for identification and provided Officers a New Jersey Driver's license, bearing the name Mark Rosario and a date of birth 07/21/1998. Affiant took the license and ran the information through the dispatch center. Co-Affiant asked the male if he had been to New York recently and the male became quiet and started to shake. Additional units from the Altoona Police Department arrived on scene to assist Affiant and Co-Affiant in identifying the

At this time, dispatch was unable to find any information on NCIC with the information provided by Officers. Lt. Hanelly arrived on scene and also ran the information the male provided to Officers but still found that no record was able to be found. The male was advised that he was under an official police investigation and if he lied out his identity, he would get arrested. The male then stated that his name was The Defendant: Luigi Mangione with a date of birth of 05/06/1998. The driver's license that the Defendant provided to Officers was found to be a fake identification card. Ptlm. Fox asked the Defendant why he lied out his name and the Defendant replied "I clearly shouldn't have." Lt. Hanelly then instructed Officers to place the Defendant into custody for 4101(a)(3), Forgery and 4914(a) False identification to law enforcement.

The Defendant was the placed into custody. The Defendant was handcuffed and was searched on scene. The Defendant was then transported back to Altoona Police Department's station where his property was inventoried pursuant to the Altoona Police Department's policy. During a search of the Defendant's backpack, Officers located a black 3D-printed pistol and a black silencer. The pistol had a metal slide and a plastic handle with a metal threaded barrel. The pistol had one loaded Glock magazine with six nine-millimeter full metal jacket rounds. There was also one loose nine-millimeter hollow point round. The silencer was also 3D printed.

The Defendant is being charged with 4103(a)(3) Forgery, 4106(a)(2) Firearms not to be carried without a license, 4104(a) Tampering with records or identification, 907(a) instruments of a crime, and 4914(a) False identification to law enforcement.

The Defendant will need to be fingerprinted and photographed.
Well that was the dumbest thing. Amongst a few. But, if he'd followed the news he'd know that the fake ID in the name of Mark Rosario he used for the hostel was known to PD, then he gives that one out when they question him? Ugh.

Also, sat the perp walk, he does not seem 6 ft 1 tall at all? Did I not read the description properly or did they get that very wrong?

I wasn't suggesting it was a GOOD thing to laugh and cheer!!!

I assumed that was clear. Sorry it wasn't.

Sure seems like flying to Italy was part of the plan. Maybe the airport wouldn't take cash? Did he have credit cards on him - maybe not.

He did have his passport. His passport was not really needed for a murder in the US, and bus/train travel.
I think he might have waited till things died down in the press.
He should have taken off to San Diego, crossed the border (no ID required) and taken a flight from Mexico.

The age of 26 is interesting. My oldest is 26 and had to get her own health insurance this year. I've heard plenty of complaining about how much she now has to pay for her own plan and the deductible is so high. She still has to pay out of pocket for everything and it is really frustrating.

Maybe it is the suspect's first year of having to pay too. Obviously murder is not the answer. It is possible that now having to pay for his own health insurance (& realizing how expensive it is and how much isn't covered) could have been one of his motivations leading to this murder.
And despite his education, maybe he didn't read (or fully understand) the exclusions & other details applicable to the health coverage he selected - too many people don't.

probably his dad. I've seen social media photos and family events look like a boatload of grandchildren of which he appears from the same generation. Hadn't seen the 10 kids but it makes sense from the photo I'm referring to

father one of 10
LM one of 6

I definitely believe they have the right guy. I think I read in a post on here that Altoona was an insurance hub, is that correct? Wondering if there is another UHC corporate person living in the area...he spent the last few days in Pennsylvania for a reason. JMO

I'm puzzled by how someone suffering from chronic back pain could go on such an odyssey which could be very physically painful: Riding on rocky buses for very long distances, sleeping on slim mattresses in hostels, rushing away on a bike and riding it at warp speed through Central Park, carrying a backpack that must have been quite heavy with the gun. I have had severe back and neck pain in the past, and I could hardly get off the sofa and walk upstairs to my bedroom.

really? he looks tall to me - towering over a couple officers (but I'm short so everyone looks tall to me)
