Chantel Robinson, the daughter of Charlene Robinson, said she believes her mother has early onset dementia.
Though she has been missing for a week, Chantel remains hopeful Charlene will either return home or be found safe.
"You don't want to give up hope," Chantel said. "But confidence goes down every day that passes, because she's an elderly woman who was wearing a light jacket and it's been very cold."
Monday's low temperature in Fremont was 30 degrees.
Chantel told Clyde Police that Charlene only drives locally, according to a Clyde Police report.
Chantel said her mother has left her home before and gotten lost, but said was able to find her way home by seeking help to get back in touch with her family.
"We've been diligent in our search, and we appreciate all the help and prayers," Chantel said.

Several tips coming in the search for Charlene Robinson have resulted in no recovery. Charlene went missing around 8 p.m. April 3 after visiting the Family Dollar in Bellevue. The family has exhausted all avenues in its search, including multiple dive team rescue searches by the Ballville Fire Department dive team.

Robinson was driving a 1998 green Ford Contour vehicle, with Ohio license plate AR79JC.

The family has started a Facebook page called Charlene Robinson - Let's Bring Her Home.

Help needed in search for missing Clyde woman

CLYDE — A search and rescue team is asking for the publics help as they prepare to search the area again for a Clyde woman who has been missing for a month.

Charlene Robinson, 70, hasn’t returned home since she left her house on April 3. Her family, who believe she has early onset dementia, now plans to spend their Mother’s Day helping search for her.

“This is going to be the hardest Mother’s Day of our lives. We’ve never not had her there for it and now we’re going to spend it searching for her,” her daughter Crystal Nyomo said. “It’s going to be rough, but we just want to bring her home.”

Rescue 101 is planning a search for Robinson on May 12 and 13, Mother’s day weekend. They’re asking local people to contact them with any information on the local terrain like ponds, rivers or side roads.

“The biggest thing is if there was an area that you believe wouldn’t be on the map than we ask you to contact us,” Surritt said. “Not all maps of the area are up to date.”

The organization is also looking for community volunteers to help with the search in three-hour shifts. A form is available online for people who want to volunteer. It must be completed by May 10.

“If it was your loved one would you want people to come out to look for them,” Surritt said.

Robinson’s family has created the Charlene Robinson - Let’s Bring Her Home page on Facebook, where people can share information, get updates on the planned searches and information on how to donate.
