Man who lost eight family members in a 2016 massacre in southern Ohio has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the suspects, saying he wants to prevent them from profiting from the crime.

A man who lost several relatives in the killings of eight people in southern Ohio four years ago filed a wrongful death lawsuit Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2020 against the suspects, saying he wants to be sure none of them receive financial gain from the crime.

Tony Rhoden Sr., who filed the complaint Tuesday in Pike County, wants to be sure that any money that arises from publicity over the case goes to the victims' surviving children.

“In my eyes, why should someone benefit from destroying other people’s lives?” he told The Associated Press.

    CC - great list!
I really look forward to seeing the evidence from the "Ohio Department of Taxation".

Remember, it took the IRS to finally bring down Al Capone. If Fred has any proven involvement in these crimes, it may well take her and the entire FWF down with her.

All JMO, MOO and complete speculation.

That list is incredible. No wonder there is overwhelming evidence.

The Ohio Department of Taxation is peculiar and I can't imagine it being listed except for what you are saying - FW and FWF.

BCI took a "truck load" of business records out of FWF. I know I read that somewhere. Any hanky panky in that department could bring on an IRS audit, but not something we would be privy to.

I can recall a case where a mobile home crime scene was removed by LE. It is 9 year old Aliahna Maroney Lemmon. She was murdered and dismembered by Michael Plumadore December 2011, Ft. Wayne, IN.
Here is a link to her forum. See thread The Trailer Park.

Stacie Rigsby, Kenneth Rhoden’s former wife and Kendra Rhoden’s mother, has changed the locks on her doors, made adjustments to secure her windows and often asks a friend to spend the night with her. She is convinced damage done to her mailbox in early May is tied to the killings. Two weeks later, the family reported a masked man on the property who ran off, according to police reports.

Authorities investigated the incidents. They called each a coincidence. You can’t convince Rigsby of that.

Also in May, Geneva Rhoden came home to find her apartment door tampered with, according to a police report. No one had gotten into the apartment.

That did little, however, to assuage her surviving children.
(The State has a lot of evidence IMO)

theOTE="Sleuthinsleuther, post: 16548674, member: 235646"]Pike county ohio LE is known for being one of the most corrupt agencies in the entire country. They are highly corrupt

Reader wasn’t even guarding the evidence when they took it to preserve it. News media called him out on it. Anyone could have gone there and anyone could have gone on the Wagner’s property to frame them.

Yes they was talking about revenge but I think that’s if they was found guilty or being charged.

Fredericka was very worried for her son billy that’s why she bought him vest after murders.

IMO this was some kind of professional hit, either by LE or by someone else idk[/QUOTE]

If you have the time, go to our Media and Timelines thread for this case. The link is at the first page of this thread. There you'll find links to files for the lawsuits filed by the Columbus Dispatch and Cincinnati inquired against Pike County to view the unredacted autopsy reports.

Read the depositions given by the county coroner and agents from the BCI. Its dry reading, but gives a good idea of how the crime scenes were quickly secured and controlled by BCI and OHP and the feds from the beginning. Even the coroner had to take an assistant and an escort go do the preliminary exams.

If that's the argument the Wags lawyers are using, well its not much. It won't stand up.

I wonder if the defense attorneys have come up with any alibi evidence yet? Anyone who can Testify the Wagner's were elsewhere?

Off-Topic: But I hope AW gets tv privileges in jail, also hope she was watching the news yesterday as the only woman on death row, Lisa Montgomery was put to death yesterday.

Might scare AW into taking a plea deal and getting these cases moving along!

Lisa Montgomery was the only woman on FEDERAL death row. There are plenty of women on death row for state charges. Also, AW is not charged with any crimes that would make her eligible for the death penalty at the federal level.

@OhioBlues - Here you go.... Lucy...

Bill Jones, the former supervisor of a New York town, ran off in 1997. Last month, he was arrested near a Walmart in Ohio.

The picture that has emerged suggests a ragtag odyssey involving a girlfriend along for the ride, two aliases, a trailer hide-out on a farm linked to one of Ohio’s grisliest recent crimes and an existence built on selling old golf balls and other assorted junk.

His life on the run began near Columbus, where his girlfriend, Lucy Wilck, had family. She had left New York before him, and he met up with her there, said Det. Lt. Frederick Cornelius of the Cayuga County, N.Y., Sheriff’s Office.

After a short while, the couple headed south to Ohio’s Appalachian region. There, the lieutenant said, they spent several years “bopping around” as Bill and Donna Richards, hitting swap meets, yard sales and flea markets as they tried to eke out a meager existence.

But after Ms. Wilck was stopped while driving and charged with several offenses under her false name, they moved further south, to Pike County, Ohio, presumably to avoid having their true identities exposed.

There, the couple went by Bob and Lucy Eagans and lived in a trailer on a horse-, pig- and mastiff-breeding farm owned by Fredericka Wagner, whose family has wound up being more notorious than Mr. Jones ever was: Four of her relatives have been charged with murder in the 2016 slayings of eight members of one family.

Ms. Wilck made a living overseeing the farm’s kennel and helping prepare tax documents, Lieutenant Cornelius said.

Fredericka Wagner, who faced a charge of lying to a grand jury in the case that was later dropped, said in a brief interview, “I don’t even know where Lucy is.”

“Bob didn’t work here,” she added, using Mr. Jones’s alias.

Mr. Jones’s life in hiding contrasts sharply with his earlier incarnation as a lightning-rod figure in central New York who was even more divisive once he squeaked into office by 18 votes to become supervisor in Mentz, a town of 2,300 people that is about a half-hour west of Syracuse.

A Small-Town Official Was Ousted and Headed to Prison. Then He Vanished.

Former town supervisor wanted for 23 years arrested while hiding in Ohio, held in Butler County Jail

Thanks! The Eagan name is familiar. We've always been suspicious of shady activities related to that home and the church nearby.

Also, someone pointed out that one of the crazy rioters on Capitol Hill has the same type of white supremacist tattoo as Billy Wagner

There were probably quite a few of those tattoos at the DC riot, but most were probably covered up due to the cold weather.

I wonder if the prosecution will bring up Billy's affiliation with white supremacy groups?

    Hard to say...

I do wonder if this could trigger some addition investigations against FW that are outside of the scope of the current trials/investigations.

Nice to see you too Tiff! (Saw your remark on other thread)

This is quite interesting. I get the impression that FWF is a good place to hide out.

What jumps out at me is the interesting fact that Lucy Wilck aka "Lucy Eagans"
was in charge of helping prepare tax documents for FWF. Why would Fred put a "drifter" in charge of her taxes? Usually, most of the time, even small family businesses use a professional licensed tax person, a Certified Public Accountant
(CPA) who has their own office.

Well, by doing this Lucy would have been able to disguise her true SS# and anything else that would reveal her true identity.

When you work for someone you have to give them your SS# for tax purposes and then your true identity is revealed. Obviously, Lucy had reason to hide her true identity because she was using an alias.

I am glad the Ohio Department of Taxation is involved. They were involved with the Rhoden-Gilley investigations and I think it is because of FWF. During a Chris Graves Cincinnati Enquirer interview, Fred said her business records were seized during a search of her property:

Fredericka Wagner said "authorities seized records related to her nonprofit and other businesses during a search of her property."

It would be interesting to know if the Wagners were/are involved in the activities of any Ohio militia groups, like Oathkeepers. While its unlikely other members of that group would have been involved in the murders, the Wagners participation in those groups could explain the substantial stock of weapons, ammo, and other equipment used in the murders. Their affiliation with a white supremacy group could have given them info and experience in stalking and surveilling their murder victims. Many of these groups practice.

For example, the Michigan militia men who made plans to kidnap the governor of Michigan met and practiced in Ohio.

Feds say they thwarted militia plot to kidnap Whitmer

Plot to kidnap Michigan Gov. Whitmer was hatched in Ohio, Feds say

If the Wagner family was involved with a white supremacy/militia group, it would explain more about their character, beliefs, experience with weapons and their ability to plan and carry out such a heinous crime.

    Worth looking into.

I hated to take another trail down politics after this last week, but there it was...

Jones has been involved in several legal disputes as chairman of the Cayuga County Conservative Party.

Also charged with harassment Tuesday night were two sergeants- at-arms Jones appointed before the meeting, Harold Leiger and Lucy Wilck.
