George Wagner is accused of killing a family of 8 living on a pot farm in Pike County OH. While first thought to be drug related the killings now could be the result of a custody battle. 3 other members of the Wagner family have been arrested as well. The gruesome slayings have rattled this southeast corner of Appalachian Ohio, a region that culturally identifies more closely with neighboring Kentucky and West Virginia than the state’s northern cities.

Maybe it was for the usual reasons - he thought LE would be arresting the family soon and wanted to cut a deal. JMO, I'm not sure GW4 was the one who squealed, but if so..

Off topic - my younger, dumber brother is serving time in Walla Walla for armed robbery, anyways he and his celly were waiting in line to return to their cell one day when a group of prison guards were transporting Gary Ridgeway somewhere, just as they were passing my brother, his celly all of a sudden sprung forward and tackled Gary Ridgeway he got a couple good swings in before the prison guards wrestled him off. Guess Ridgeway was so scared he wet his pants. He most definitely deserves the death penalty in my opinion.

I don’t believe GW4 purposely told LE anything. But I do think he gave the info away.

If finding of silencer parts
(if found in a well on property previously owned by JW on Peterson Road)
happened to coincide with GW4 return to Ohio, perhaps GW4 was being closely observed or monitored ( through *various methods) by LE during that return to Ohio. Perhaps GW4 made a casual trip over to Peterson Road to stroll through the property to see if the well had been discovered or disturbed. Thus giving away the location.

*Speculating on the various methods, did he drive? Maybe GPS on Vehicle - its been done before.

I can’t believe LE did not seize upon a chance to keep a member of the Wagner Family under laser focus, close observation upon a return to the area. I also can’t believe GE4 would be able to resist the urge to check the location of the most valuable piece of evidence to ease his guilty mind.

Agree! And not all 8 victims lived in the same place. And the “pot farm” is a small part of the situation.

I don’t believe GW4 purposely told LE anything. But I do think he gave the info away.

If you don't mind one more of my "what could have happened" thoughts, "While being followed, he discarded an eating utensil and his DNA was retrieved and tested, too?" Until he was "laser focused by DeWine" why would anyone have thought he was involved in the murder, anyway? He already had everything, right? He may be "vocal" but maybe he is really a "nonstarter or non-achieving also ran" who talks big only when he has access to a weapon?

Off topic - my younger, dumber brother is serving time in Walla Walla for armed robbery, anyways he and his celly were waiting in line to return to their cell one day when a group of prison guards were transporting Gary Ridgeway somewhere, just as they were passing my brother, his celly all of a sudden sprung forward and tackled Gary Ridgeway he got a couple good swings in before the prison guards wrestled him off. Guess Ridgeway was so scared he wet his pants. He most definitely deserves the death penalty in my opinion.
