Just jumping in - this is what I recall also. They went up through Canada on their way to Alaska and either AW or JW posted a family picture on FB, as if they didn't have a worry in the world. The pic was supposedly taken in Canada.

ETA: Just found an old article on 10 news in Knoxville, TN from June 2017. Jake Wagner told one of their new neighbors in Alaska, a man named Conklin:

The boot/shoe evidence and Amazon & Walmart video, receipts, etc. seem very big. They hired a few experts to analyze boot prints and shoes. Also a two way radio they did lab testing on. A whole lot of data from phones, GPS, etc.

Lots and lots of interesting things. I need to pick this apart, piece by piece. So far I’ve noticed Dana and Hanna’s phones aren’t on the list, making me believe those were the phones tampered with. The hotel is interesting. Also, I can’t believe they were looking to move to Missouri. And they appear to be Walmart exhibitionists, as they shopped at many Walmarts in the weeks before the murders.

I'm not sure which it is, but the Long Lane, MO house seems more their style. How would they have picked this remote location? It's actually not far from the Lake of the Ozarks.

Yes she was different. No restraints on her wrists or ankles and her attorney made her smile at the end. And normally a guard has her arm and escorts her out but today she went out on her own. She seemed in way better spirits then last time. She looked like she was going to fall apart last time. Peculiar.

I think it all has to do with perception. I think the prosecution was ready and willing to speak to those 49 motions today but the defense made a stink about not having all the discovery yet and how can we do a proper job with these motions and others when there's still so much info we don't have blah blah blah. I believe the defense made the stink, caused the delay and probably even told their client not to bother changing as it was going to be zippedee doo dah timeframe in court. That's what the smile at the end was about, her lawyer whispering that went well, judge is mildly po'd, public and media are probably not pleased and we made it seem like it's all the prosecution's fault, job well done. Most interesting thing from the docs is the womens footwear. That leads me to believe AW was on hand while the crimes were committed. I always believed she babysat during the commission of these murders. I'm sure there were bloody footprints everywhere. Allegedly, JMO,MMO,IMO,Eeny, Meeny, Miny, Moe

I don't know where but I remember they passed the US-Canadian border in ND. Don't know if that was on the trip up or back or both.

I don't think Jackson WY would be on their route. It is south of Yellowstone and in the middle of the Tetons. I know they were hauling trailers and I don't think they would want to take that trip through the mountains.

For some reason, I have it in the back of my mind that they took a trip down toward TX after the murders. I'd heard some evidence was retrieved on the trip made by LEOs, w/help of the LEO's in those states, iirc.

I guessed Houston just because, the gps takes you through Jackson, TN. That would be at least five states, counting Ohio, and one or two stops, would border a couple of other states.

51 UHR? It seems that a neighbors cameras picked something up on video that night. JMHO.

Security firm, detective, locksmith, boot and tire tread expert and some audits done too including CRSR, SM and JRW. Some of those locations must have been from their "vacation" time, sounds like it anyway. Thanks for the link, very interesting.

The prior owner had been there since the early 90s and is the house just before DR's, coming from LM's. It was sold not long after the murders.
