The Sheriffs Office said theyve been searching for 54-year-old Steve Dreyer since the evening of Jan. 8. A car owned by Dreyer was found unoccupied with the keys still in the ignition, wallet on the front seat with everything still inside by the caretaker at Perry Township Park at 6 p.m. that day.
Dreyer had dropped his son off at school Monday morning, but he did not go to work and never came back to pick up his son at school.
When investigators checked the camera footage for the park they found that Mr. Dreyer arrived there at 9:25 a.m. Sheriffs deputies and investigators have searched the area all day Tuesday, using the drone to cover as much area as possible, the Sheriffs Office stated. The United States Coast Guard was called in and their Ice Team searched the shoreline. Additionally, the US Coast Guard brought their helicopter out of Detroit to search the extended area. As of this point no sign of Mr. Dreyer has been found.
Dreyer is a 6-foot-1 white male.
