CNN) -- Police investigating the fatal shooting of four people in Ohio believe the deaths are connected to a man who later drove to a cemetery and killed himself.

"We still unfortunately have three different crime scenes, a lot of different agencies are involved trying to sort through the mess, for lack of a better word," said Police Chief John Kuivila of the Newton Falls Police Department. "We are fairly confident that these homicides are related."

NEWTON FALLS, Ohio — Five people are dead after a gunman opened fire in a home Friday afternoon, before turning the gun on himself in a nearby cemetery, Fox 8 News reports.

It started with a 9-1-1 call just after 12 p.m, with “yelling and other commotion going on in the background,” a news release from Newton Falls police stated.

Officers responded to the home on Trumbull Court and found the bodies of 42-year-old Rikki Cogley, his wife, Kathy Cogley, 39, and her 15-year-old son, whose name has not yet been released, Newton Falls police said. Another juvenile in the home was able to escape and run to safety.

A few hours later, the body of 39-year-old Tracy Engler, believed to be Brazzon’s girlfriend, was discovered in the couple’s Newton Drive home, about a block away from where the other shootings had occurred.

Officials said all four victims died from multiple gunshot wounds.
