OK OK - Kelley Harris, 48, Bixby, 3 July 2012

I live about half a mile from where her car was found. I've never felt afraid at night around here, but those apartments are well known for drugs...I actually lived in them back in '98. Seems like a really weird place to dump a car being that its a pretty busy place.

I apologize if my post was offensive to you. :peace:

There are very nice homes in this area also. The school system is great. Nearby elementary has been given many honors/awards.

I have friends who live nearby also. One lives 31st/129th. I would visit them. But I wouldn't visit any of these apts. areas at night. The crime rate in Tulsa has rocketed in all areas!

I really am sorry. Another thing...I am older than you. I'm at that age where I am warning my children about safety just like my mom did me.

No, I wasn't offended at all :) ...just adding my two cents. Its not my ideal neighborhood, but we picked it for the schools.

I just wonder why there? Someone who lives nearby or could be because it is the first apt complex you'll come to if you exit off the BA at Garnett. I wonder where in the parking lot it was.

So,do we know where her husband was at the time Kelley disappered? Im not "going there"...Im just to lazy to go looking.
TIA

This sounds more like there was some sort of activity either financial or phone after the last sighting in the afternoon doesn't it?

Always, MOO

That's exactly what it sounds like to me too. I think any activity that SHE did on her phone or bank account after about 8 p.m. on July 3rd indicates that she was in fact doing something other than the standard errand running to prepare for her July 4th gathering or visiting friends for typical boring purposes. She was doing something already that she was hiding - making it more hopeful, IMHO, that's she's alive and well somewhere.

BTW, my bank account occasionally posts purchases a day or two later than I've made them, but the "transaction date" is always accurate. So something may show up later, but it's clear when the purchase was actually made. Anything purchased or calls made in the wee hours of July 4th are the entire crux of this investigation IMHO.

Also from your link JeannaT.

Police say they have spoken with a person of interest. It’s the person believed to have been driving her car while it was parked at the apartment complex.

If someone was driving her car after she went missing the night of July 3rd. Obviously that person has information to offer on how he/she came into possession of Kelley's vehicle. Please don't tell me they are going to say they found the keys in the car and helped themselves.

Didn't some article mention a casino card? It was something to the effect that I thought she probably went to the casinos. I wonder if they checked the video at the casino?

Did Kelley and her husband live together? If so, it seems to have been a casual kind of marriage. I can't imagine my husband not knowing a male friend of mine, whom I might visit spontaneously. And also, not reporting me missing a little sooner. Very strange.

Snipped from the link below...

Sergeant Andy Choate said he hopes a search warrant will lead to Harris's belongings. He plans to search the place in question within 24 hours of receiving the warrant.

I wonder if they are going to search the apartments or the the friend's house that she visited.

I pray this turns out fine...and they have some answers for her two children soon!

I wonder if the search warrant was served yet. Strange there is no more news.

Just checking in, hoping something new surfaced or she was found.... Very perplexing and cannot fathom why the lack of news....:(

I just stumbled on this. I was born and raised in Tulsa and actually lived at Bristol Park apartments in the mid '90's. They were nice apartments then. I hope she is found soon!!

New leads in the case of a missing Bixby woman point police to a creek bed across the street from where her car was found.

48-year-old Kelley Harris was last seen the evening of July 3rd. 20 days passed before police found her car at Bristol Park Apartments. Now they’re taking that search to the creek nearby.

This is the last mention of LE activity I can find in Kelley's case.

What kind of lead would point LE to a creek bed? Are they indirectly saying they found something that belongs to Kelley in that creek? Was there debris from the creek and/or the dense vegetation that surrounds it, found in or on her car?

Sounds as though they may have found something linked to her in the creek.
This has been a month now...good grief, what happened to her?

No telling how old this google shot is. But there is a drainage way, that looks like it could be a creek. Runs under South Garnett, then along East 45th/South 109th. Straight shot from the apartment complex parking area.

That's probably what they're talking about. Since its been so hot and dry here, there's no "creek" right now.

Its just such a busy area...I can't believe someone didn't see something.
