    Trenny Gibson: https://www.findthemissing.org/cases/4524

Height is within 2 inches - facial features are similar to UID with the narrow nose bridge, straight brown hair, and (forgive me for not knowing the technical term for this) vertically stretched face. Gibson disappeared from Tennessee when 16 years old on October 8, 1976.

    Cynthia Kinney: https://www.findthemissing.org/cases/4576

Another who disappeared when 16 years old, but Cynthia disappeared from Oklahoma. Her height is only 5'1" though - 4 inches shorter than the UID. The picture shares similar features to the UID as well, but she appears to have a broader nose bridge than the UID.

    Kristina Perkins: https://www.findthemissing.org/cases/9037

Height is given as 5'3" to 5'7". Kristina disappeared on September 10th, 1975 from AZ and foul play is suspected. Her car was recovered a week later. From the image provided on NamUs, her facial features resemble the UID by lips, eyes, and nose. The chin line looks more "pointed" than the UID though.

Bumping. Of the three I mentioned in the previous post, I think Trenny is worth a look. What do you guys think?

Trenny was the only MP I found who made any sense to me from a physical standpoint....the details of her disappearance are here on another WS thread I'll have to track down. Apparently she was on a field trip with her classmates hiking in the Smokies when she disappeared. So I think foul play is possible, but not certain...so I guess that's my hang up with Trenny.

I suppose she might have been kidnapped from the woods and transported over 900 miles before being killed and disposed of on the side of a highway. But I don't see anything real solid there to say that this could be Trenny. Her age is slightly too young. She is slightly too short. The timeframe is slightly too long. None of these things by themselves are necessarily rule-outs. They are all close enough if there is some real strong connection on another factor. But there is nothing there to say that it really looks like her.

Also, if Trenny was hiking in the woods, would she have worn fake fingernails and polished her toenails? Just looking at her photo, she doesn't look like the fake fingernails type.

There's a 2 year time lag between Trenny's disappearance and this UID's estimated time of death. That would put her in the bottom of the UID age range. Not saying that it makes this possibility any stronger.

Slight aside Carl - I have always noticed that the UID's dental records - when available - are available for public view. Is there a reason or two why missing persons' dental records are not available for us to view? I assume legal reasons.

What about this girl, Teresa Cupps, Missing since 1977 from Oklahoma City OK. http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/c/cupps_teresa.html

    https://www.findthemissing.org/en/cases/12468/0/

The UID is said to have stains on her teeth and heavy to moderate attrition, which could come from drug use (Teresa's Charley profile says that she was using heroin and was into prostitution) She was 20 years old when she went missing and is listed as being 5'3. in range for both.

The Doe Network and the NamUs file for this UID have many descrepencies such as: NamUs states that this UID is between the ages of 18-30 and was measured at being 5'5. The Doe Network states that the UID is between the ages of 30-50 and estimated at being 5'0. I had to double check I had the same UID's!!!

    https://identifyus.org/en/cases/4886

    http://www.doenetwork.org/cases/789ufok.html

Between where Teresa went missing from (Oklahoma City) and where the UID was found (Marietta OK) the distance is about 115 miles or so.. straight down I35.

What do you think? I would have done a side by side comparison, but my work computer won't let me for some reason!

So I sent an email this morning to Michael Nance at NamUs about this possible match and I already received an email back:

Thanks to you, we discovered that the DNA submitted for UP 4886 did not yield a DNA profile. Additional samples are now being submitted to attempt to develop a DNA profile for UP 4886. Once a profile is obtained, hopefully UP 4886 will be identified.

Teresa Cupps has DNA in CODIS.

Thank you for your diligence and for bringing the lack of DNA to light.

    Mike

The Namus pages for the matches that were suggested here all seem to still be accessible.

The Doe Network shows this case as: "...identified. No additional information is available."
