Officials are not releasing many details but say that they hope to have answers to several missing persons cases.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation has been asked to assist in a joint investigation involving several missing persons cases in Logan County, Oklahoma County, and Pottawatomie County.

Authorities with the OSBI say that remains have been recovered during the course of the investigation.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner’s confirmed KFOR that “non-intact human remains were recovered” from the sites in rural Logan County and near Lincoln.

“Preliminary anthropology analysis indicates that there may be 3 separate persons from these sites,” said the office.

The state’s chief medical examiner, Dr. Eric Pfeifer denied our interview request.

However, he is quoted in the Oklahoman saying, “They were associated with burned wood and other material… We’ve got our work cut out for us.”

The Oklahoman reported that Dr. Pfeifer confirmed that “at least nine disappearances are associated with the investigation” and said, “the list keeps growing.”

However, the medical examiner’s office said they could not confirm that number with KFOR.

Identification of the remains will be determined by the Oklahoma State Medical Examiner’s Office. The medical examiner will also determine the cause and manner of death.

So far, no other information is being released at this time.

I wonder if they think this is the work of one person (ie a serial killer) or perhaps a 'dumping ground'.

Well that article leaves something to be desired. I wonder what their thinking is? Burned wood associated, as in a structure? 3 people found in a burned structure? Or a dumping ground? I’m anxious for more info to come out about this.

Wish it would say if it was current or not. Glen Gouker worked cutting wood and logging . He has been suspected in a few murders ,including 2 in Wisconsin. He is currently serving time for killing a man and abducting a woman with his sisters help. So if the case are a few years old ,it is possible . If these victims are recent ,it is scary to think about how many crazy murders are out here . Really.

There are estimated to be 50+ serial killers active in the United States.

Authorities on Friday confirmed that an investigation is underway after human remains were uncovered at multiple sites in central Oklahoma.

>> Related: OSBI assists multiple counties with missing persons investigations

The Medical Examiner's Office says the human remains could be from three people.

Crews were at two scenes in Logan and Oklahoma counties earlier this month. When KOCO 5 was there, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation and federal investigators, as well as an excavator, were already at work.

At the time, no one at the scene could tell KOCO 5 much, but the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office confirmed its staff helped serve a federal warrant at one of those properties near Cedar Oaks Trail and R Road.

On Friday, the State Medical Examiner's Office confirmed remains were found at those sites. The office said a preliminary analysis found that the remains could have come from at least three people.

OSBI officials also announced Friday that they're assisting in multiple missing persons investigations at the request of law enforcement in Logan, Oklahoma and Pottawatomie counties. Authorities did not say if all that was related to what the Medical Examiner's Office told KOCO 5.

OSBI officials told KOCO 5 that "multiple agencies have searched locations in Logan County and Oklahoma County."

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiners confirmed remains were found in Logan County near the area of Pine Street and Simmons Road.

The OSBI was requested by the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office and Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office to assist in a joint investigation involving several missing persons from each county.

GNP spoke with OSBI officials on April 18, but they did not want to speak about the case and (politely) requested limited access to the area.

According to The Oklahoman, agents are investigating whether a white supremacist prison gang is behind nine or more disappearances.

The search warrant has been reported to be under a seal and not available for any additional details.

The search warrant appears to be under seal and not allowing for any details of the case to be known. However, KWTV reports – through their sources – the search may be for a missing man in Oklahoma County.

The news channel says the search is for 43-year-old David Allen Orr, whose disappearance is also still under investigation. In 2021, police asked for help finding Orr, saying he was last seen on January 16th.

Police did not confirm, or deny, the television station’s report.

Witnesses tell Guthrie News Page they have seen the medical examiner and excavators on the property in question. Another witness said several dogs were removed from the property.

Investigators says the search could take several days.

New details are emerging in an extensive search in Logan County near Pineand Charter Oak.

At this time, the property remains roped off with crime tape and is under 24-hour guarded security.

This search involved Federal, State and local law enforcement agencies, a large presence that startled neighbors.

News 9 reached out to several agencies to gather details on the search, but were told the warrant is under seal.

However, sources tell News 9 they were there to search for a missing man.

Those sources say the man is 43-year-old David Allen Orr, whose disappearance is still under investigation.

Records show Orr has an extensive criminal past. He was released in 2012 for assault and battery with a deadly weapon.

In 2021, police asked for help finding Orr, saying he was last seen on January 16th.

Sources could not confirm whether it was Orr's body investigators were looking for, but excavators were brought in and the medical examiner was on scene.

Residents tell us 36 dogs were also removed from the property.

They say investigators told them authorities would remain there for at least two weeks.

David Anthony Orr, 43, was last seen Jan. 16, 2021.

He is described as a Hispanic male with black hair and brown eyes. He is 5’11” and 220 pounds. He was last seen in the Harrah-Newalla area.

Gruesom, but I wonder if these people were fed to the dogs.

Maybe, but sadly it was illegal dogfighting that came to my mind.

This situation has been bothering me since I first read about it. Trying to piece the info together and came across this:

-There might be as many as 12 people who have vanished.
-Human remains found at two locations. Various news reports indicate that they’ve searched at least 3 locations.
-Universal Aryan Brotherhood leader Mikell Patrick “Bulldog” Smith, who is serving a life sentence for murdering a schoolteacher in 1985, owns the land where the first set of remains was found, sources told The Oklahoman.

This definitly sound Okie like. Bunch of weirdness ,waiting on more wierdness. It is like they alway blame the mexican cartel or the white supremacist, yet none of the cases get solved really. I guess I gotta do the back ground work because I do not know why this guy is owning property while in jail or if he was arrested in 1985 or 2019 . Either way someone has been paying the taxes .

The video at this link includes several views of the property in question: Multi-Agency Search Continues In Logan County

Map showing location: E Charter Oak Rd & S Pine St · Oklahoma 73044
According to the articles posted above, it sounds like there are several properties being searched. There are 3 mentioned that are close together. I’ve started a map and included Orr’s last known location. This is a work in progress and I’ll update as more info comes in: Oklahoma remains found 2022 - Google My Maps

Thanks for clarifying that. I thought it was only one place.

And thanks for the map. That's very helpful.

At the time, KOCO 5 was told a federal warrant was served at one of the properties near Cedar Oaks Trail and R Road, according to the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office.

Now, OSBI said bone fragments were recovered from an Edmond address in Logan County. KOCO 5 was told the investigation involves missing people from Logan, Pottawatomie and Oklahoma counties.

KOCO 5 was told the detectives from those counties have collected DNA samples from family members, but still, no names or identification has been released.

From the article posted above. Human remains found, Oklahoma white supremacist leader might be connected

Suspected in the disappearances is the Universal Aryan Brotherhood. Investigators have focused on a gang leader, three-time convicted murderer Mikell Patrick "Bulldog" Smith, sources said.

Witnesses told investigators Smith, now 57, owns the Logan County land where remains were first found, the sources said.

Smith murdered a Moore schoolteacher in 1985 and is now serving life in prison without the possibility of parole. He originally was given a death sentence for the shotgun slaying.

While in prison, he murdered two cellmates and stabbed a guard in the heart, his criminal record shows. He at one time was described as "the most dangerous inmate in the penitentiary."

Involved in the excavations have been agents from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.

The OSBI confirmed Friday it is assisting the sheriffs of Logan, Oklahoma and Pottawatomie counties in "a joint investigation involving several missing persons."

Among those missing are Smith's brother, Phillip Martin Smith. Also missing is David Anthony Orr, of Del City, who was charged last year with drug and weapon offenses.
