Identified! OK - Tulsa, Human remains in SUV in pond, Oct'11 - Sheila Scott-Sharpe

That's five miles from the University of Tulsa campus and about the same from the Tulsa Fairgrounds.

Here is what I found on NamUs for possible MP's, missing from OK. I only went back till 1/1/2010 because LE thought the foot had been there since last winter...

https://www.findthemissing.org/cases/11927/1/ missing from Prue, OK (about 45 minutes away from Tulsa)

https://www.findthemissing.org/cases/9720/2/ missing from Eucha, OK (about 1.5 hours away) (reported she was wearing brown boots when last seen so I don't think its her but I just thought I would list it anyway...)

https://www.findthemissing.org/cases/8847/4/ missing from OK City (about an hour & 40 minutes away)

snip-snip

I think the report was "possibly as late as last winter." (http://bit.ly/vxuj3a)

Thanks for the NamUs links!

Yes ,but where do they think it was before that ?

Like if the water over flowed and it could not have been there before last winter because of the water then they suspect it washed in there. Does that mean the foot could be older then the amount of time in dentention?

What's up with these feet being found? Is there a connection besides the leg bone?

Authorities have found what appears to be a severed human foot this week, the 11th found in waterways in British Columbia in the past four years.

The discovery of another foot, this one still stuck in a running shoe, adds to the mystery that has confounded Canadians for years.

I hope they don't have themselves a serial killer. I think it's a little too odd to be a coincidence. Spooky.

I only went back to 1/1/10 to be safe. I don't think it has been said exactly how long it has been there but since I only found 5 on NamUs, in OK, I listed all of them. I wasn't sure how long it would take for a body to decompose enough to actually come apart (I think there are many variables). I wish LE would state if the foot had enough tissue on it to have any identifying marks. (tatoo)

Yes kinda spooky it is. If a body is not discovered after the search, I'd suggest LE on this case send info and pics to Canadian LE for a possible match. I'm assuming they can get DNA. Canada has enough feet to start a feet clearing house.

I have been curious about the photo released. I assume it was taken on site of recovery and then later released to the media.
The tongue of the sneaker appears to have a lighter spot on it (where the investigator is showing the 'Saucony'.)

I wonder if this shoe/foot might not have been out in strong sunlight for awhile before finally ending up in the water?

Two vehicles found in pond that contained human foot (Tulsa World)
---
City crews began draining the retention pond near Fifth Street and Mingo Road on Wednesday, and by late Thursday or early Friday, a van and car had appeared, authorities said.

It was not immediately clear how long the vehicles have been in the pond, and investigators were searching for their owners, Tulsa police said.

I don't think most people want to know how many vehicles are sitting at the bottom of bodies of water, many right in their backyards. My experience only- but never a good thing.

Hope the draining of the pond helps identify the owner of the foot and shoe (assuming they are one in the same.)

Glad also that they have changed the wording to 'retention' from 'detention.' Cuz that was just confusing me.

Police have discovered a body in one of two vehicles that were found early Friday in an east Tulsa pond where a human foot was found three days earlier.

City crews began draining the retention pond near Fifth Street and Mingo Road on Wednesday, and an SUV and car appeared about 10 feet down, Tulsa police Officer Jason Willingham said. He estimated the pond is 18 feet deep.

It was not clear how long the vehicles were there or if they are related to the discovery of the foot, but all were found on the same general side of the pond, he said.

Police have determined that one of the vehicles -- a Ford Expedition -- belonged to Sheila Sharp, who has been missing since February 2006. Police said they didn't know if the body found today or the foot found this week were related to Sharpe's disappearance.

Meanwhile, investigators were searching for any link between the vehicles and the foot, Willingham said.

The body was found in the Expedition.

Sharp, who was 46 at the time of her disappearance, is also known as Sheila Scott. She disappeared on Valentine's Day 2006, according to the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System. Her vehicle had never been recovered.

According to the missing persons system, "She was last seen by a married male companion with whom she had a volatile relationship. She was also connected to the drug trade. Her vehicle has never been located.

Wouldnt they be able to tell pretty much right away if the body that was found in the vehicle had the same shoe on???

Sheila has been missing since 2006. LE thought the foot had been in there as long as last winter? Wouldn't the foot be completely decompossed if it had been in the water since 2006?

Her vehicle has never been found. However, records show that someone in Latimer County ran a National Crime Information Center check on the vehicle's tag on March 31, 2006. Police have never been able to determine who ran the check on the vehicle or why.

FOX23's Abbie Alford interviewed [Sheila Sharp's] daughter in 2010 about the search for her mother. She submitted DNA to police so if her mother's body was found, police could identify her mother.
