Investigators are working to piece together the connections among five recent homicides, including four fatal shootings in Tulsa within 24 hours.
A thread believed to be connecting some of the killings is 27-year-old Casey Jones Adkins, who was found dead on the side of a road near Catoosa on Aug. 12 after being shot multiple times.
According to Tulsa police homicide Sgt. Dave Walker, Adkins was associated with some of the people involved in the slaying of 25-year-old Curtis Hergenrother early Sunday.
Police suspect that Hergenrothers shooter is Cory Lee Kuebler, who police say has claimed affiliation with the Irish Mob criminal prison gang.
