For anyone involved in missing persons cases

Sadly as we all know many girls. (and boys) who go missing will end up involved, in the sex trade, either by choice, or not.

One resource to consider , that has been turning up recently as a factor in some missing persons recoveries , are internet pages such as Craigslist, Back page, and similar, boards that contain personal ads .

Investigators should look within their areas and neighboring areas, at personal, ads as many under age girls have been arrested in prostitution stings, via advertisements placed on Craigslist .

Girls either by choice or against their will, place ads, either openly or indirectly looking for sex. to avoid obvious intent , these ads will state things like "for roses"(money), "compensation", they will do things like include the dollar sign in the text itself ("$exy"), they will often spell out a phone number with numbers intertwined (four 0 four 6 two 3) Or will use some other term for money or drugs (420 friendly/Sherm etc..)

Many ads feature a body picture but no face, for fear of identification and prosecution, some ads will feature no picture at all.

To avoid prosecution some criminals stick strictly to boards, that aren't explicitly for services such as call girl ads.

Another tip off is a lot of ads all with the same age listed , for example 25differnet ads, for 23 year olds, with NO face picture.

This has provided a new avenue to explore in missing persons cases.

Correct, though nowadays more so innocuous pages like craigslist to further limit suspicion
