OR - 6 women found dead near Portland, most in secluded, wooded area, Feb 19 - May 8, 2023 *POI of 4*

Autopsy is back. She died of homicidal violence and was found in a rural area. I think we definitely have an SK.

''KOIN 6 spoke to a neighbor off-camera who says the property sat vacant for a bit before it was listed in the last month, and he was surprised when he came out Monday to see the heavy police presence next door.
Investigators say in cases like this, witnesses make all the difference. They’re asking anyone who lives nearby to check their doorbell or property cameras, or even recall if they saw someone suspicious in the area in the days leading up to Monday.
“We really rely on the public to help us out. We’ve got a great community here in Clackamas County. They’re there when we’re not, right, and they see stuff that we don’t see,” Clemson said. “So we urge people to help us, call us, provide those tips.”
Anyone who has information or suspects they saw something suspicious is asked to call the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office tip line at 503-723-4949 or by submitting a form online.''

The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office is now asking for the public’s help in solving a woman’s suspected murder.'

I would love to see her photo. Hopefully, we'll get it soon.

I wonder how did he know about the vacant property? There are two bodies found on vacant properties now

(Someone like a realtor or looking for a house to buy? Someone who was viewing properties in the area before moving in?)

I dunno, but seemingly they didn’t know that much about the property, because while it was vacant it was being actively worked on. Per one of the above articles, that’s how/why the body was found when it was.

Gresham police ask for help in finding missing woman

ANOTHER missing 20-something woman, from Gresham where a few of the others were also connected to.

If I remember right, KS, AR, and I think one other (maybe BW?) had links to Gresham, as well as Vickie Diaz, who disappeared more recently and is still missing.

Just hit the news last night, but last heard from on 6/30. No individual thread yet for her on here.

I hope they catch whoever it is before more disappear. Pray she gets found alive.

Israel Keyes scoped out vacant properties for potential kill locations. There may not be an obvious connection between the property and the killer.

And maybe there isn't.

“KOIN 6 spoke to a neighbor off-camera who says the property sat vacant for a bit before it was listed in the last month, and he was surprised when he came out Monday to see the heavy police presence next door.”

Two scenarios come to mind.

One, the killer saw this property when scoping dump sites, didn't know that it was listed and was lucky to have avoided people working at the property, one of whom, per TV program, found the body.

Or, he knew everything too well. When the visitors would come, when the workers would leave. TV mentioned property camera (s). Did he know about them, or was merely lucky?

O/T but interesting (maybe, we need an archtitect or someone like him):

I think what that shows is that we could be looking at absolutely anybody for this.

The big difference between this case and at least the GB4 (because in a lot of ways they actually are similar) is this one requires a lot of specific geographic (and possibly jurisdictional) knowledge. But that knowledge can be acquired in a number of different ways.

I’ve had a theory for a minute that this could be a dirty ex-cop, which incidentally a lot of people theorized in reference to LISK although I never did (I was pretty convinced it was Bittrolff), but at this point who knows.

She’s been identified. 43 year old from Salem. Still not enough info to link her.

Yeah I’m not sure what to think of this.

My first reaction was that this was most likely unconnected, but it’s not a strong lean, maybe 70/30.

My other gut feeling on this one was whether or not it’s connected to the others, I think whoever did this one is getting caught for it.

Old article about an arrest of his in 2018. I wonder if he's still doing/selling meth? That last sentence is MOO as I don't know what he was doing with the meth, but all I can think of is using and/or selling. The article just states LE found it in his car.

A convicted felon is facing gun and drug charges after deputies caught him driving a stolen car on Sunday morning.

[...]

While searching the car, they found more than 500 rounds of ammunition, a sawed-off shotgun, and six grams of meth.

Six grams of meth isn’t that much, that doesn’t scream dealing to me. I don’t have a great sense of what meth costs, but I’m guessing that’s not worth more than a couple hundred bucks at most.

But yeah, I’ve thought from the start that drugs were a big part of this case, with meth specifically being the most likely. I’d be surprised if he wasn’t using and/or selling at the time all this was going on.

Interesting that he hasn’t been linked to JS at this time, but I did find a possible family connection to Ridgefield.

I am not sure what the relation is, or obviously how close they are, but IF there’s something there, that same person is also connected to Wilsonville, where the homicide victim from this past week was found.

I am in no way suggesting this person is connected--I am 100% sure they are not--just putting it out there as a way that JLC could have had local knowledge of these two areas that are pretty far removed from where he seemingly lived.

Thanks. Had it been pounds, tons, or kilos... it would have been very clear he was dealing. I just have no idea how much a small amount of meth for sale would be. But I think you're right... likely it was for his own use, or to entice victims perhaps.

According to this article he was a part of our former governor Kate Brown's clemency program...
and so far he is the only one out of over 1,000 people released who got their clemency revoked.
The good news is he is currently incarcerated for unrelated charges and was arrested on July 6.

Editing to add his arrest records here

How someone who has this long of a rap sheet was granted clemency is beyond me.
