Grant Carl Schmidt

Schmidt went missing from Beaverton, Oregon on April 7, 1989. His wife reported that he left home at 6:30 PM to visit friends in Beaverton but he never arrived at the friend's house. He did not show up for work on April 10th and has never been heard from again.
Schmidt's vehicle was abandoned on a property off Burkhalter Road in Hillsboro, Oregon the same evening he disappeared. A witness reported that around 7:30 PM, a black Chevrolet Blazer drove up his 500-foot driveway. Before reaching the residence, the vehicle took off across the corner of the neighbor's property, crashing through the brush and coming to rest over the ridge against some vine maples. The driver left the scene and nobody at the residence was able to determine who the driver was. The vehicle was found unlocked with the keys in the ignition.
