ASHLAND, Ore. Friends, family, and other loves ones joined together on the football field of Ashland high, Tuesday morning, hoping to send a message to missing teenager, Hannah Thomas-Garner. A message that could be seen from the skies was laid out on the football field.
Michelle Zundel, Ashland High School Principal, "We wanted to send a message and a visual out onto the internet so that she'll hopefully see it and know that a community cares about her and asking her to come back if she can."
In a powerful show of support, the Ashland student body and faculty lined up in a heart shaped formation on the football field to demonstrate their concern for Hannah Thomas-Garner who has been missing since November 30. In the middle of the heart, six of Hannahs friends held up letters spelling out the word Moose, Hannahs nickname.
Search and rescue teams scoured Dead Indian Memorial summit this afternoon. That's where Hannah was last seen at a party in November.
Jackson and Siskiyou County crews covered 90 acres of land. They said this is the fifth time they've searched the area, but it's the first time snow hasn't been covering the ground.
Search and rescue k9s were also out aiding in human scent detection.
NEAR ASHLAND, Ore. Search and rescue crews spent hours on Saturday combing the 90-acre area near mile marker 13 on Dead Indian Memorial Road.
Volunteers were looking for any new information that may point to the whereabouts of missing teen, Hannah Thomas Garner.
We [were] out here at the request of the Ashland Police Department. Actually this will be the fifth time that we came out and searched the general area here, said Sgt. Shawn Richards with the Jackson Country Sheriffs Office.
Ground crews and search dog teams took to the area where Thomas Garner was last confirmed to be seen. The spot is about 13 miles away from Ashland, where Hannah attended a party.
So far, Ashland Police says evidence found in the area leads them to believe Hannah ran away to California. The Siskiyou County Sheriffs Office, however, found Hannahs car near Shasta City, and told Newswatch 12 they are afraid she may be in danger.
Thank you sreshowtime, for the link to the council meeting. I took notes for those who didn't see it:
LE said the following-
Hannah had been planning to run away for six months prior, evidenced by SM private messages. At first, she was to run away with two girlfriends, one being SD. The other girl backed out and SD decided to run away with adults (AT and RS). The adult (assumed AT) would not let Hannah go with them.
So, on the 29th Hannah said she had two bags packed in the trunk of her car, she was running away after the party, and going to California. There is a picture of Hannah at the party/rave. She was there around 1 AM and texted someone at 145 am. The next morning at 8:41 am she phoned a girlfriend of hers, and she was in Shasta when she made that call. (I don't know if this is known as fact or if LE is assuming this; they didn't say either way) 20 mins later, she was seen hitchhiking a couple hundred yards from where the car was left. She was seen hitchhiking at this spot by three different people. One lady who saw her said she looked different than other hitchhikers as she was very clean. She had two bags and a cardboard sign that read "South".
The 4th person to see Hannah is the CW. He took her to Dunsmuir. 15 mins after he dropped her off, a 5th person saw her hitchhiking near the location that the CW dropped her off.
LE says her car was damaged at the location it was left. They believe no crime was committed inside the car. No one in LE believes there was blood in the car; they think it is dirt that matched the dirt on the outside of the car. (Hmmph).
There is indication from personal messages on social media and from SD's actions that Hannah intended to change her appearance. LE believes friends are holding back information. Even if they find Hannah, they can only detain her for 6 hours if someone there "babysits" her for six hours until she is picked up by a guardian. If she does not want to be found, it will be very difficult to find her, they said. They are still looking into the Red Bluff sighting because a debit card was used; they don't think it is Hannah but are looking into it anyway.
Hannahs father, Jeff, says the group Bring Hannah Home, has hired a private investigator to investigate several leads. The group also plans on testing samples of what they believe is blood, found in Hannahs car. Hannahs father told us about the effort via skype from his home in Texas. We are not looking, at this point were not looking at persecute anybody, accuse anybody, were not looking at a criminal case, thats not our angle, were not looking for anybody, were looking to find Hannah. Thats what we want to do is find Hannah, he explains.
http://www.kdrv.com/blood-found-in-thomas-garner-vehicle/ASHLAND, Ore. For months the family of Hannah Thomas Garner have argued that the missing 17-year-old teen from Ashland did not run away, and something else happened the night she went missing.
Tonight they may be one step closer to proving that is true. The family of the missing Ashland teen said they found out just hours ago that the sample taken from her abandoned car was indeed blood.
. . .
They hired a private investigator to handle the case since Ashland Police are still considering her a runaway. The sample Ashland Police once considered dirt, came back positive for blood. The next process is going to get even more expensive. There is a go fund me account set up to help pay for the next phase of the testing.
This includes whether the sample is from a male or female, related to the family, and then finally if the blood is from Hannah Thomas-Garner herself.
http://kobi5.com/news/item/police-r...ah-thomas-garner-s-location.html#.VPVABbPF8mUIt's now been more than 3 months since Ashland teenager Hannah Thomas-Garner was last seen.
But there have been several possible sightings within the past few days in central Florida, something Ashland police first told NBC5 about two weeks ago.
The latest sighting was reported SUNDAY in Ocala, Florida, that's about 100 miles north of Tampa.
"We have to understand that a report of sighting is not necessarily because it could simply be someone that looks like Hannah," said Ashland Police Chief Terry Holderness.

The teen, whose nickname is "Moose," has been calling herself "Zion," and is with two men known as "Cab" and "Squirrel," Marino said.
http://www.kdrv.com/follow-up-on-sightings-of-missing-teen/Ocala Police in Florida confirm they have received about seven tips that Hannah Thomas-Garner has been spotted in the Ocala area. The latest one said the teen was seen on Saturday at a Walmart on Silver Springs Boulevard near the Ocala National Forest. Previous reports said Thomas-Garner was possibly at a rainbow festival.
