There’s still a chance that he did sneak out but unfortunately met with someone with bad intentions. There’s a WS thread I followed years back where a girl was playing in the yard and disappeared (turns out a neighbor killed her). Everyone was quick to judge the mother and it was just all around awful. LE from that small town impressed me majorly
 
So terribly sad.
Unfortunately this is not a surprise to some of us. How they have all this evidence and don’t know where this mother is is currently beyond me.

Court documents show that while investigators believe there is evidence of second-degree murder, German has not been arrested and no formal charges have been filed. The Coos County Sheriff's Office said the investigation is still ongoing.

Court documents said that German told her friend that her son was missing instead of police because of a past bad experience with law enforcement. Authorities contacted German at her Stage Road home in North Bend, where she told police she’d fallen asleep in the afternoon and woke up to her son being gone, court records said. The affidavit said that German’s timeline changed several times for how long she’d been sleeping, and she eventually told authorities she took barbiturates and ketamine to help her sleep.

and there it is. The reason an unnamed third party was the one to report JJ missing and not his mother. This friend, who she and JJ resided with up until a few weeks before his disappearance was concerned over Angela neglecting the child. DCFS was opening a case, which suggests to me that the friend reported her concerns to authorities.

I suspected pretty early on that AG was napping so long because she had taken pills and meant to commit suicide after killing her child. What is still unclear is how did her friend come to know JJ was missing? I am imagining AG maybe sent or left a message with this friend who became concerned and checked in on her and the child to find the child missing and AG passed out. Little JJ was found naked without marks of obvious injury. I can only speculate that she may have medicated him or smothered him. I hope he didn't suffer pain. I hope his death was quick. Evidence from the secondary crime scene indicate he was driven there and did not come to be there under his own power. She killed him, and then dumped him in the woods.

If only AG had given JJ to his father or his paternal grandmother this child would still be alive.

Simply my own speculation and subject to change with revelation of more facts.

Many of us had a feeling that this was the case. Poor JJ :'(

I would think they would know that if it were the case. I do suspect she was hospitalized immediately after JJ was reported missing tho, for at least some length of time. I am confounded by them not knowing her current whereabouts tho.

It seems as if LE was hip to the fact all was not as it seemed from the very beginning. Hence some of their very first wording was "off" in this case. JMO. So why would they not have been keeping closer tabs on her?
 
I think the only hold up is the COD, sounds like they are pretty confident the MOD is homicide. So probably tox screen results are the only holdup to charging AG with the murder. MOO
 
Poor Joshie. My heart goes out even more to his Dad and those who loved him. I've had to really sit on my hands for this case from the beginning because certain things were screaming at me. Now it's looking even worse than I suspected. I had previously wondered if Mom was seeing anyone but the Mom's Utah friends claims appear very damning.
Alcoholism alone can be a very scary and hard thing to handle with someone and my heart just feels so heavy for little Joshie.

Especially if those tox screen results line up with the multiple pill bottles reportedly found in the home per that article. JMO
Why was he naked? It just seems like such a cold and unattached way to leave him there? Then again, I can't fathom killing anyone to begin with, let alone a child.

The ones listed on 11/19/2024 are the ones that pertain to JJ's case IMO. They searched cell phone records associated with a specific phone number, her Porsche, and her residence

Betting the tire tread will match that of the muddy tire tracks found very near to where his body was dumped.

The boy was naked and partially under some brush, but had no scratches or mud on his body, including the bottoms of his feet, court documents said. The affidavit said that McCoy’s phone was also located near his body, which was found near the roadway with a fresh tire mark visible in the mud. The search warrant sought to search German’s home and seize her Porsche for forensic testing on a mud-caked tire as well as search McCoy’s cell phone, court records said.

Since you're likely not the only one that can't access the article... I'll type up some key points for you so I don't exceed the 10% MSM copy and paste rule.
  • Found naked and partially under some brush.
  • He had no scratches (from bushes) or mud on him, including no mud on the bottom of his feet which he would have had had he not been carried to where he was placed.
  • The affidavit says his phone was nearby, although I don't see why his killer bothered as it was evident that no mud on the bottom of the feet means he had to be carried there! I mean,c'mon.... the poor kid didn't float there.
  • Both phone and body were found near the street, which makes me more confident that the maps I posted upthread were were he was found. That post is HERE.
  • There was also a fresh tire track in the mud. I'm thinking that that is what prompted a searcher to poke around in that general vicinity.
  • A search warrant seized her Porsche and Joshie's phone. The former was to do forensics on the mud on her tires.
  • Apparently AG was neglecting Joshie, which is why her then roommate in Utah asked her to leave because of said neglect AND mistreatment. :( That's when they returned to the home in Hauser, which makes me wonder why in the world they weren't living there in the first place? Especially when your mistreatment and neglect wouldn't be obvious if no one is there but you and the child. I find it odd that she'd treat Joshie that way in front of someone. That one is hard to wrap my head around.
  • There was a "pick up order" after a several month investigation into AG's (alleged) alcohol use and mistreatment and neglect of Joshie. Apparently Utah DHS was investigating her also.
  • Lastly, there have been no formal charges and the investigation is still ongoing.
With all that said... does anyone have a link to a copy of the arrest affidavit and search warrant? I'd be interested in reading those.
