Kenneth Thies Jr., 48, of Cherry Grove, left his home Sunday evening to take his dogs for a walk. On Monday, Thies' dogs returned to the home without him. On Tuesday, Thies' sister reported him missing. Washington County Search and Rescue Explorer Post 877 was activated and started searching for Thies yesterday afternoon. They called in additional resources, including canine and 4x4 ATV teams. The teams searched until after dark and suspended operations for safety reasons. This morning Washington County Search and Rescue was joined by search and rescue teams from Multnomah County, Yamhill County, Portland Mountain Wave, Search One Canine, and Tillamook County ATV.
