Beaverton Police Detectives are asking for the public’s help looking for a 13-year-old runaway from the Murray Hill neighborhood.
Milana Li (pictured) was last seen at her apartment near the intersection of SW Murray Blvd and SW Scholls Ferry Rd. around 4PM yesterday evening.

She is possibly wearing plaid pajama pants with white writing on the side, a dark hooded sweatshirt and converse shoes.
Milana is 5'00" about 90-100lbs. She has brown eyes, black hair which is dyed red underneath. Milana speaks Russian. English is her second language which she reportedly struggles with.

Milana has a cell phone but it is likely off. According to Milana's mother she is not familiar with TriMet.

Detectives have contacted all known associates of Milana and are concerned for Milana's safety because of her age, lack of resources and length of time missing.

If anyone sees Milana please call 911. The case number is 22-1290552

How long ago did Milana arrive to the US, I wonder? If not that long ago, was she upset about the move?

BEAVERTON, Ore. — A missing 13-year-old Beaverton girl was found dead Tuesday afternoon, nearly a day after she was reported missing by family members, police said.

Officers were called out just before 3 p.m. Tuesday on reports of "suspicious circumstances" at the Westside Linear Park off of Southwest Barrows Road at Horizon Boulevard, near Beaverton's southern border with Tigard.

She was found dead in a "small stream" according to Missing Beaverton girl found dead in park, investigators call her death 'suspicious'

I originally thought she may have gotten hypothermia, and died of the cold, but now I'm realizing that nobody in their right mind, especially someone that is freezing would crawl in a river and fall asleep. She may have been murdered, but since she's a pretty young girl, she may have also been raped. I really do hope not, but I won't be surprised if that's the case.

There is no info surrounding when she left, no “Milana left to take a walk” or “Milana ran away” or “Milana was upset”. Just last seen at 4pm unless I’m missing something. Poor child, just 13!

Condolences to Milana's family, friends and community. This is not at all how I expected things to go.

Have the authorities mentioned/determined if the community is in danger? (since she was found in a suspicious manner on a designated trail that weaves through several neighborhoods.) The weather is getting a lot nicer, there are a lot more people outside recreating....But then I must ask, how was she not seen?! The sun hasn't been setting until 8:30pm.

Looking at the map, where she was reported missing (near Murray Blvd & Scholls Ferry) isn't far from where she was found (near the Westside Regional Trail off Barrows Rd.), less than a mile.

Murray & Scholls to Trail and Barrows

And the trail system kind of seems like a big deal. Surely authorities would want to assure everyone that it is still safe to use? Westside Trail | THPRD

Police said the circumstances surrounding Li’s death were suspicious, but they have not released further details. Officers found her body in a small stream, in a park not far from her family’s home in the Murray Hill neighborhood.

“Currently, investigators do not believe there is a continued threat to our community.”

Those are usually code words for they have an idea of who the suspect is and it’s someone who knows the victim.

I was thinking there would be a better outcome here. =(
