    :(

She's beautiful. I wonder if she had a stalker.

    On OkieGranny's 2nd link :
Laube's father is the head pastor at Calvary Church in Hillsboro, where the entire congregation is in shock. Matthew Dodd, another pastor at the church, has known Laube since she was 10 and watched her overcome Kawasaki disease as a child and cancer as a teenager.

    Then:
Before she collapsed, Laube reportedly told a woman who lived in one of the apartments she had been stabbed and that her attacker was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and camouflage pants, said Sgt. Bob Ray, a Washington County Sheriff's Office spokesman.

It sounds like she did not know him if she just said what he was wearing instead of his name. She was a beautiful woman who overcame a lot early in life. So sad. I hope they find this guy quickly.

Memorial service for her tomorrow night.

I hope there are some sort of cameras that caught it because with only a description of the clothes this is going to be a difficult task to find this guy. Sad. She overcame so much and to have this happen to her.

My daughter called me the other night to tell me of this tragedy. She lives across the street from where this happened and arrived home about 6:30 pm - the entire area was completely full of LEO's. She had to speak to 6 different officers just to gain access to her building. Such a tragic loss of a beautiful woman. I hope they find who did this and quickly!

'Police are investigating the death as a homicide. There has been no official determination of a cause of death. Police said an autopsy may be done on Saturday. They also expect to release the victim's name sometime Saturday afternoon.'

'At this time, police have not identified a suspect, and they aren't sure if the woman knew her attacker or not.

“There is that lingering question of who’s done this so there’s that concern. But as far as a widespread concern for public safety, we don’t have one at this time," Sgt. Bunday said.'

    From Blondie's link:
Deputies told FOX 12 they recently re-examined the field behind the apartment complex where Laube was killed.
They said that during a search of the area they discovered items which they consider to be evidence.

Geesh, how well did they search in the first place? Reward over $11,000. I fear this won't be solved if it was random.

So what could the motive be - since LE believes she was targeted?
Stabbing someone is a very personal attack, especially when facing the victim. Who does that and why?

Maybe targeted because of the flyers? Someone angry with the apartment complex or managers?

Hope they searched for surveillance video of someone wearing a hoodie and camo pants on that day and of cars/trucks coming and going around area.

PORTLAND, Ore. -- The Washington County Sheriff's Office said it has received dozens of tips since releasing a sketch of a man suspected of murdering a Forest Grove woman at a Cedar Mill apartment complex last month.

Monday afternoon, the Washington County Sheriff's Office announced that items of interest had been found in a wooded area near the crime scene. And a sketch of a possible suspect was released.

Hmmm....that's a pretty generic face. Let's hope somebody recognizes him.

A friend of a friend (how's that for insider info?) knows Nicole's family and has asked that everyone keep them in their thoughts and prayers. I sure hope they find her killer ASAP!!!

That's the first thing that came to my mind. This looks like a female.

I too thought the sketch looked more feminine than masculine. I know Nicole did body building competitions for the team at the gym she attended here in Beaverton and I think won one of them or came very close... maybe a jealous rival?

Completely hurts my heart, I want justice for her so badly.
