I think here in the States that would be the normal response-- but we sue everybody about anything and everything.

Thing is, we won't really get to hear how they actually bent over backwards to accomm him and him alone, as it doesn't put SA CS in a good light.

My suspicion is that the bottom line politically is that RSA does not want this prisoner.

He makes them look bad and brings media coverage where they don't want it.

little tiny fingerwiggle wave to Viper, and Soozieq , lemon mousse, and Briskate, and all the steadfast and faithfull bloggers in the matter of Oscar Pistorius. .. I wonder what happened to those American lawyers who , during the first trial felt that justice had been done and anyone who didn't accept the decision was of a low IQ when 'everyone' knows that what a judge says, goes.. sure.. sometimes.. most times, but not always. Masipa made a fundamental error that quantum leaped itself as the trial wore on, and this revisit is the only proper and correct outcome of that error, and one has to take one's hat off to justice systems that can cope and deal with error in a logical and transparent way....

..I'm just wondering if Masipa is deeply religeous which would explain the constant religeous references made by Pistorius as a way of manipulating and influencing her decision.....it's possibly an explanation, there may well be a lot of unknown church stuff..

If you're using Safari, try turning off JavaScript. I've had to do that because I just can't navigate the page at all while it's switched on.

Rock & a hard place? Yes, they had to ensure that nothing happened to him inside Kgosi & show that his accomm there demonstrated that SA prisons aren't as bad as we actually know them to be. ( Cue Mr Modise last year)

SA prisons don't want him........and off the record Arnold doesn't want him at Waterkloof either.

(Had the SCA appeal failed, Arnold would have "renditioned" him to Zimababwe or wherever the family outliers run their game parks ,( with attached poor kids projects of course), to get out of the family's hair/media glare and let the family get back down to business $$. )

Religious adherence is taken into account in SA for mitigation purposes.

presume it is originated due to the number of diverse faiths and thus cultural behaviours over in SA.

How his saying grace before dinner ( Scholtz) will mitigate, only the Lord knows
