Other question is

on Nel establishing - OP violent= OP still violent

why isn't nel bringing into play ( beyond the obvious blowing Reeva's brains out) the other temper tantrum incidents, reiterating them from trial 1?Or anything that occurred in between the trials , night club fracas etc?

I just relistened to the sequence and did not hear Nel saying "she".

So it could be Frank but that seems un-imaginable to me... Of course it would be wowwwwwwwww, I'd really like to hear his version.


Concerning June: didn't Barry say that he came because June was too emotional?
 
Yes, my guess would be Gina or Kim Myers. Maybe they will relive OP speaking under his breath to them during the trial and how they felt threatened. "How do you sleep at night" or something like that.

Susza have you got a link for the upload please as I missed so much - satellite wifi here - the pits - especially during torrential rain.

Do you reckon this consolation was for effect, for the media ( We know they are very good at that, the pair of them)
Or was it cause OP got upset at the devastating impact on his case, of Barry's authentic despair?

Do you have a link for the uploaded sentencing today? I missed most of today's live feed.

PS the Carl tweet I posted a couple of pages back is Oscar, not Carl sleeping. Carl is putting out pix of his brother to the world media? I thought he wanted mitigation for media interest in his case?
 
My feeling is it will be Gina as well. Trish Taylor is a mature woman and I just can't see her being emotional. There's also Sam Greyvenstein to consider. She was one of Reeva's best friends and they were very close for over 8 years until the date of her death. Reeva used to stay at her house. She and Justin were at the scene shortly after Oscar rang Sam's partner, Justin Divaris. She'd have to be considered a possibility.

I thought I heard Nel say "... her evidence is finalized in half an hour ..."

Remember they are only examining any new witnesses at the moment.

In summing up Nel can refer to anything proven at trial or evidence from the first sentencing. No need to reprove all that stuff.
 
I hope it will be Samantha Taylor's mother. She had a lot to do with him when he dated Samantha and knows many of his failings. I don't think Gina will have known much about him. It seems RS did not "report" much back to her best friend.

ps He can't use the nightclub incident or can he???( can't remember the chap's name but he was on the witness list then, but not called.)

To be honest in a normal case I am not sure how much of this stuff would be called.

He should be staring at 15-12 and the State does not really have to prove lots of stuff beyond the conviction.

Rather it is the defence who must prove compelling circumstances and all they have really put out there that is new is this medical business - and that witness got shredded

I am less worried about the evidence than the Masipa clown car.

If the murder of Reeva Steenkamp is not enough to get you 12+ years, then I doubt the evidence of some dude in a bar will cut any ice.
