Curwensville Borough police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing teen.

Police identified the teen as 19-year-old Chase J. Anderson. He has not been seen or heard from since Aug. 11, when he talked to a family member by phone.

Anderson is described by police as being approximately 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighing approximately 130 pounds.

I'm not seeing the story. Maybe it was pulled?

There was an unidentified body found about 3 miles from Curwensville in Pike Twp: http://gantdaily.com/2017/08/31/bre...der-way-coroner-says-body-not-yet-identified/

Perhaps someone jumped to the conclusion that this was Chase and had to retract that? IDK. I'm not finding anything specifically about Chase being found, at least not yet.

Initial reports provided to The Progress on Thursday afternoon stated the body found was believed to be that of Chase Johnathon Anderson, 19, of Curwensville, who has been missing since Aug. 11 when he last spoke to a parent.


Curwensville Borough police issued a missing persons report earlier this week after numerous attempts to reach Anderson failed.


According to a report issued by state police late Thursday, the manner of death and positive identification of the victim are pending an autopsy and a search of dental records.
