It says that she was hitchhiking from her hometown of Ashtabula, OH to Conneaut Lake, PA for a concert. Its about a 45-50 minute drive.

A lot of similarities. Timeline, location, hair, height, weight (size 11 skirt would indicate she was at least 130lbs), her clothing! Even the sketches resemble her to me..

Although Arvanites was a married name she was divorced (this occurred in 1984). The obituary of her father (James Townsend) from 2006 can be found by scrolling down at GenLookups.com - Ohio Obituary and Death Notice Archive - Page 1242. She is listed as predeceasing him.

<<That weekend the park was also hosting its annual Harley-Davidson motorcycle rally and there were five to ten thousand bikers attending. Arvanites told her mother she had a ticket for that event too and planned to go. A family friend saw Arvanites at the park, but she never returned home and has never been heard from again.

Arvanites left behind two sons, who were subsequently raised by relatives. She was divorced but she and her ex-husband were on good terms. Ashtabula police are investigating Arvanites's case. Foul play is suspected.>>
