PA PA - District Attorney Ray Gricar Mysteriously Disappeared - Bellefonte 15 April 2005 #18

Not that I know of.

The smoker could reached in and gotten something, then closed the door.
then the person would be touching something- do we know if LE collected DNA? I would think yes but not sure how much... they were suspicious of the smoke smell so they were paying attention to details. Curious if April was some meaningful date- birthday, divorce date, something even if it was not something marked on RG's calendar.

What? If he/she reached in there to get a bag or the laptop.

LAG's birthday was in May or June. His brother died in May. His last divorce was July 30, 2001, and he married EG on June 21, 1996.
There is the 20/20 Vision date of 4/15.

that is when the body was found.... I am having trouble finding another citation for his "disappearance " date- Wikipedia says a week before he was found:

"Gricar's older brother Roy disappeared from his West Chester, Ohio, home in May 1996. His body was found a week later in the Great Miami River; authorities ruled his death a suicide.[7]

The citation to the Pittsburgh Post Gazette is no longer good. Curious if the father and the brother's dates of death were closer to 4/15... could depress a person... or it could provide cover for a murder IMO.

Snipped for emphasis.
It could only be a cover for murder if the murderer knew all these details of RFG's personal life. They only think that they would have had in 2005 was, possibly, Roy's obituary.
As to some other date, we know that RFG was unfocused since early March 2005, at the latest.

an old article but some info I missed

wish I understood the why of the divorces- does not seem like a flighty or changeable person but those represent big life changes
Sometimes being too set in one’s way can lead to a divorce. People get bored and divorced. I’ve never heard if he filed or the ex-wives did.

Interesting that 12 years ago when the article was written ex #2 Emma said she was working on a book about Ray.

It may or may not be factual, but the first divorce seemed to be amicable. BG dropped the Gricar name in 1985 despite having her PH D with it.
EG and RFG had a number of arguments, including the one that prompted the Cleveland trip.

I always go back to this "ladies man" descriptive. and I'm always left wondering...

it bothers me that Ray's money was all but gone.
that he wouldn't marry Patty
that she could be jealous or resentful
that her family could be involved
that he got caught cheating and was afraid for his life
that nothing is the full truth and it all got covered up

I'm sorry but it just NAGS at me, because there are too many disconnected parts to this story...and other parts that are so telling, like anger and distraction..depression. He wanted a mommy but not a marriage again because he had other women and thought he could control the whole thing..happens all the time.

mOO

I have never heard it said that he wouldn't marry PEF or that she was "jealous or resentful." I am also not sure if PEF wanted to get married again.

No one has suggested RFG (or anyone near him) was angry or that he wanted a "mommy."
