I've been to Renovo. Spent two weeks vacationing in the mountains there, and to the Greatest DAM store! Yes it exists! Even took video and photos of the fall festival parade there. Now my memories of such a place seem tainted.

May justice prevail!!! I'm seeing in more and more cases lately that the police are charging and holding a perp on lesser charges, and then BOOM they add the murder charges, sometimes many months later. The time clock starts ticking once charges are filed, so no need to file the murder charges until they are certain they have the case wrapped up, and ready for trial. If they charge quickly, and don't have all the evidence back, it can backfire if the perp requests a speedy trial.

I don't know who or what or why the perp decided to kill Kelley, but I don't believe she died of natural causes and then was moved. No. I don't believe it. Even if an accident, or suicide, there is no need to more the body. IMO, the moving of the body alone points to guilt of murder or intent to murder.

Little kiddos left without a Mommy. :( I wonder if Kelley was planning on leaving him? So many times we see the wife killed or plans to kill her while pregnant or when she decides she wants a divorce or seperation. Some men just can't walk away from the relationship and move on with their lives. They decide if they can't have her, noone else will either. Senseless tragedy!

A visitation will be held from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m., Saturday, April 25, 2015 at the Maxwell Funeral Home, 205 Fifth Street, Renovo, followed by a graveside service at 3:30 p.m., at North Bend Cemetery with Pastor Doug Conway officiating.

I wonder why her stepson wasn't mentioned in the obituary. They usually include stepchildren, don't they?
 
Her mom and sister made the arrangements so that's probably why the stepson was not included. Not saying they did it on purpose. Family was upset due to the fact that bj's parents were there. I told them I would not want to be judged for something one of my children did.I thought they showed respect due to the fact they went. maybe I am wrong.

I agree that it seems respectful for them to attend, unless they were actively trying to persuade people of their son's innocence at the service. She was their daughter in law, and the mother of their granddaughter. With as much as the children have to bear right now, they need all the support they can get.

So they just filed the murder charges this morning, he was arraigned at 11 and a hearing scheduled for the 26th??!? Am I reading that correctly? Just want to make sure :)

If this is correct, I would ASSume that they received some information back (possibly yesterday/this morning) that should become public shortly.

William "BJ" Snyder, 34, of Renovo has been charged with murder in the death of his wife, Kelley Jo Snyder, at the couple's home, 234 Fourth St., Renovo.

State police at Lamar today charged Snyder with first-degree murder, third-degree murder, false reports, abuse of a corpse and two counts of tampering with or fabricating physical evidence.

Kelley Jo was the object of a week-long search after her husband reported her missing on Easter Sunday. Her body was found six days later in a wooded area outside South Renovo.

BJ was charged that same day with abuse of a corpse after he admitted to dumping his wife's body in that rural location. He has been in the Clinton County Correctional Facility in lieu of $500,000 bail since.

glad he was finally charged .. love it when I get to read ***ARREST*** ... starts to feel like justice is coming at least. Hopefully Kelley Jo can RIP!

If I Recall Correctly,

1.) A Police Criminal Complaint & Affidavit of Probable Cause may be made available to the Public. [AOPC 412A]

2.) Snyder continues to be represented by Court Appointed Public Defender: David A. Strouse

3.) Next Court Date Scheduled for Tuesday, May 26th

3.1) Lower Court Preliminary Hearings are usually Open to the Public, & Media, but NO Audio, Video, or Other Recording Equipment is permitted.

Sorry for asking. Are the police absolutely sure it was BJ who committed the murder and that BJ is not covering for someone else in the house?
 
I hope those poor kids werent witness to what he did.
Im thinking that they got into a fight, she left, started walking and he went after her and pulled her into the car...where the dog lost her scent, and strangled her in the vehicle, then placed her out in the woods while he was supposedly looking for her.
Just a thought....whats others ideas about the situation? I hope that she wasnt killed at home in front of the children...any of them.
I also wonder what the motive was, or what BJ thought was his motive? That comment early on, about things being better the past 3 weeks, makes me suspisious that there was something that had happened prior to "things being better"?
