Morgan McDermott, 14, of Williamsport, has been reported as missing since yesterday, Saturday, July 29. She was last allegedly seen around noon in Brandon Park heading toward Market Street with a male wearing a green shirt and army pants and carrying two army book bags.

The male goes by the name Ry Sammons (Ryan Scott Sammons) on Facebook and is 22-years-old. A family member said McDermott knows Sammons, who resides in Maryland, through Facebook. Sammons also has been in contact with several young girls from all different states via Facebook.

McDermott's cell phone has been off and no one has been able to get in contact with her.

McDermott's legal name is Morgan McDermott, but she goes by the name Morgan Mason on Facebook, according to a family member.

Williamsport police are looking for a 14-year-old girl who disappeared Saturday after being seen about noon in Brandon Park with a 22-year-old male she knows.

Police say the man has been interviewed and is cooperating in the search for Morgan Elizabeth McDermott.
