I’ve been following the missing Philly teens for a while now (despite being over in the UK). I’d like to lend a hand - I’ll PM you my email. Might not get much done - I’m chronically ill so my days are very hit and miss - but every little helps!

We will probably need more boots on the ground with @Filly after the New Year. Not much is going to get accomplished in State or local government this close to the holidays. I'm feeling a petition coming on, though. Something demanding that Philadelphia get their missing persons publicly listed.

Philadelphia police still have not found Qadr Williamson, the 10-year-old girl who went missing two weeks ago from the 300 block of Glen Echo Road, where she was living with a foster family. Qadr was last seen walking to the Henry Houston Elementary School on Allens Lane, where she is in the fifth grade.

At a press conference last week, Police Commissioner Danielle Outlaw said no “Amber Alert,” for the child has been issued for Qadr because police do not believe she is “in imminent danger.”

“We believe that she left the neighborhood voluntarily and may now be in the care of relatives,” Outlaw said at the press conference.

As of press time on Tuesday, however, police could not say exactly where Qadr is, or who is caring for her.

“This is a very unfortunate situation; however, I can assure you the Northwest Detective Division is diligently working towards her being reunited with her home family/home,” police spokesman Eric McLaurin stated in an email. “Thanks for your continued thoughts and concerns during this situation.”

WTF is going on up there! She was obviously REMOVED from her relatives so maybe find her.

I’m in the UK and haven’t done this sort of thing before, but have plenty of time (chronic health issues here too) and a very strong sense of justice. If I can help in any way, please let me know. I’m absolutely horrified at how many children are missing and just as horrified that this seems to under the radar.

Are there any local journalists who could be persuaded to take this up?

Who was the last person who saw her? Foster parents? When was she last seen by anyone not in the foster care family?

At least charge the last person in charge of her care with something. And make sure that they can no longer take in foster children.

I think that info was provided by foster parent. I’m sure we’d all welcome confirmation of same by a neutral/non-family source. JMO.
