I'm unsure why you would think anyone was implying it was.

Clearly in other posts we were talking about Romani referring to the people who some people might still call "gypsy".

There is a separate issue that Beth may be from an Eastern European or Mediterranean country. One country that fits this description is Romania. I did point out that the Hasidic communities in NYS have large populations of Romanians so that may have confused the issue, but I was not implying Romani = Romanian. I'm sorry if that was confusing.

I think considering the fact that Beth is probably not Romani, Romanian, or Hasidic makes all this irrelevant. I'm sorry for diverting the thread into this direction.

Boston is well within the region where Beth's killer might have come from. Do you suppose she was his first? I wonder if there are others between 1976 and 1996?

I was reading about this case and it makes me wonder if Beth Doe is related to another case and not just a single case herself.
Ex: The parents/family are killed somewhere and she is removed and killed, or abducted and killed later.


This girl went missing at about the same time Beth would have (possibly) figured out she was pregnant. Her parents were in western PA. It's just a thought....

Wilma had some false teeth (upper fronts I believe) - didn't we have a good dental on Beth? I can't seem to find it now. I didn't see any filling mentioned about Wilma but if she had false teeth she likely had other work done.

The leg scars match in similar locations.

Perhaps she ran off with the boyfriend who got her pregnant....?? Again, this one went missing about the time Beth would have found our she was expecting.

The age, height, weight, hair color, eye color - all match.

Stamford Torso Murder Victim
Identified As Canadian Beautician

Stamford (UPI)Police in Stamford Wednesday identified the dismembered body of a woman through fingerprints as a missing beautician from Canada.

Detective Captain Thomas O'Conner said the state police laboratory at Hartford confirmed the prints from the torso victim matched those of Margaret Mary Warburton, 20, of Pierre Fons, a suburb of Montreal.

The woman's torso was found inside a suitcase wrapped in plastic in a coin locker at the Penn Central station here Sept. 20.

O'Conner said an earlier examination of Miss Warburton's prints had established some type of pattern with the set obtained from the dead woman.

A missing persons report filed in New York City showed that Miss Warburton traveled from Montreal to visit her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. John Flynn, in Queens, N.Y. Sept. 16. She was last seen leaving the Flynn home Sept. 18 for a shopping trip in Manhatten.

O'Conner said that upon confirmation of the identity of the victim, the Warburton family asked authorities to deal with the British embassy in the investigation.

The woman's father, John Warburton, an engineer with a Montreal oil company, came to Canada from England about three years ago.

Miss Warburton, who lived with her parents, was described as "very popular" but a quiet girl.

At the time of her disappearance she was wearing maroon corduroy slacks, black stockings and shoes. Apair of maroon corduroy slacks was found in the suitcase with the torso. The victim's arms and legs were found the next day also wrapped in plastic in a men's room at the station. Her head remained missing. An autopsy on the remains indicated that she had been strangled,police said.

I was thinking about this case today and googled "wsr 47" and found a property listing.

I'm not thinking that is her home - just maybe her area.

That is about a 7 hour + drive from White Haven. I'm going to look for missing cases from there.
