Circumstances of Recovery: On 06/13/1993 the remains of a white infant female were discovered approximately 3/4 of a mile west of SR 61 in New Castle Township, Sckuylkill County. The remains were wrapped in a sheet and placed into a garbage bag which was placed near the North edge of the highway. The remains were discovered by a passing motorist. The remains were determined to be of a newborn with the umbilical cord cut. It was estimated that the female died between two days and two weeks prior to being discovered.
