"Is or isn't Joran van der Sloot the father of a prison baby? Just one of the questions with conflicting claims and answers continuing to swirl out of Lima, Peru and echo on websites worldwide. Various lawyers make differing claims.

In a rare turn, van der Sloot is refusing to talk about it....And although it's usually risky to believe anything Joran van der Sloot says, the Dutchman has apparently dismissed questions about the alleged paternity saying its a private matter.

Wow. Who knew there were still more subplots brewing in the already strange van der Sloot saga?"

What more can I say...:waitasec: Just more typical JVDS confusion!!! :banghead:

The fact that he won't discuss it can go two ways: either he's finally learned some discretion (doubtful) OR he wants people to think he's the father to bolster his virility (more likely!!) ...MOO

"Figueroa Leydi Uceda, youth involved with Joran Van der Sloot for allegedly maintaining a relationship, spoke exclusively to The Sunday and this is your truth ... "I do not know the man and have never visited the prison."

At 3:38 of the video, she denies knowing him and gets upset saying this is causing a lot of problems for her and her baby....poor girl...whether this is true or not...I feel sorry for her!

Curiouser and curiouser. The mantra surrounding all things VanderSloot.

TY to everyone (especially FLNY) for updating on this. I've been knee deep in trying to keep up with the Anthony trial and I appreciate any and all new information. :)

Thanks, Suzihawk! I'm trying my best to not let anything slip thru the cracks on this case!!

I'll likely buy that book, although I don't believe there were no signs/symptoms of his issues until adolesence. I think those around him just enabled his behaviour until they realized how terrifying he actually was.

Dutch film maker Paul Ruven has released a trailer for his film Me and Mr. Jones on Natalee Island. The film will be released to theaters in October.

According to Dutch filmmaker Paul Ruven, his movie, subtitled, 'What Happened with Natalee?' is about a Dutch undercover journalist who breaks into the Aruban home of the man who many believe killed Natalee, Joran van der Sloot, to discover what happened to the American girl, reports CBS 42

I see that the media spin is still worse than ours. My oh my.

I see that the media spin is still worse than ours. My oh my.

And the Dutch have some sort of impairment when it comes to choosing titles.

Me and Mr. Jones on Natalee Island

WTF?!

The film tells the fictional story of an undercover journalist, played by actor Robert de Hoog, who visits Aruba five years after Natalee Holloway's disappearance. While in Aruba, de Hoog and an undercover reporter, played by Hanna Verboom, break into Joran van der Sloot's house and make a "shocking discovery," according to a description of the movie on Dutch filmmaker Paul Ruven's website.

Joran Van Der Sloot: 21 Reasons He's Guilty, From Peruvian Detective

Posted on Jul 15, 2011 @ 04:30AM

While Joran Van der Sloot awaits his fate in Lima’s run-down Castro Castro prison, Peruvian homicide detective Captain Juan Callan has 21 reasons he believes the Dutchman killed and robbed Stephany Flores.

21 Reasons Joran Van der Sloot Is Guilty

1. Before leaving the Atlantic City Casino with Stephany, Van der Sloot observed
Flores exchange poker chips for cash, which made robbery an attractive crime.

2. Van der Sloot admitted in the presence of a public ministry representative, his
defense lawyer, and translator of having robbed Flores of 850 soles, her national
ID, credit cards, bank card, as well as her Jeep on May 30. When Flores resisted
the attack, Van der Sloot physically assaulted her, before he asphyxiated her,
thus causing her death.

3. Stephany’s empty purse was found at the scene of the crime missing her
money, bank cards and ID, which Van der Sloot admitted to having stolen.

Fran, your link is the first mention I've read of police having evidence of JVDS preying on other women in casinos for cash in the past.

Does anybody know anything about this?

Hi Nova!

I haven't personally seen any other articles of Joran preying on unsuspecting females anywhere else, with regard to this murder. I did follow the Holloway case very closely after the first month or so of Natalee's disappearance, and I will say there was a LOT of info then that talked about Joran preying on females in Aruba. It was, however, mostly at the bars. But, don't expect that type of info easily accessable now, with regard to Natalee's case, because it was widely known, that it was covered up. Of course, if you ask anyone who thought Joran was innocent, they'll deny that.

I know people are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, but it is my opinion that Joran is plain evil and will do anything to satisfy himself, in whatever he wants. That guy has no limit on who he will hurt to get his way. It's unfortunate that as he got older, his appetite caused the deaths of poor unsuspecting young women.

Joran's entire life has been a train wreck. The world is just a little safer now that he's behind bars. I honestly pray they're able to convict him and sentence him to prison in Peru, without the meddling of the Hague or Aruba officials. They've let this guy get away with his evil ways long enough. It was bad enough when his parents covered for him his whole life until he graduated to murder (imho).

Enough is enough.

New revelations have emerged about a murder in Peru last year, allegedly committed by Dutchman Joran van der Sloot. He reportedly killed Stephany Flores in his hotel room in Lima. According to a new book, "Portrait of a Monster", van der Sloot also allegedly severely tortured Stephany Flores.

I do remember all the rumors and reports of JVDS preying on tourists at bars and casinos on the island (and the scarcity of actual witnesses who would testify once ALE started investigating).

I don't see it myself, but I know there are those who find him attractive. I'm sure he have no compunctions about manipulating women in casinos to steal their winnings.

Poor Joran...being abused...waa, waa, waa...

...the professional poker player said "has told the truth from the beginning" and claimed he was the victim of "abuse." "I've always cooperated 100% with the investigation and trial. Even in times when you could not help due to my lack of knowledge of Spanish. Even with that I put my best effort, but have abused it,".

What's going on with this case??? This is the first we've heard in almost 2 months!! Way back in mid-June, they said the trial was imminent.

I'd like to know too!!??!! :maddening:

I just did a google search, and the only "recent" article is on InSession and dated June 15th!! Anyone hear anything LATELY??!!

TIA! :seeya:

I heard on the news today that they are gonna release him?!??!?! I thought they already charged him with a crime?

My question is WTH is the holdup? Who's dropping the ball here?

I won't be able to take it if he's set free for lack of prosecution. :(
