This extract from a link provided a page or 2 ago, I agree with, regarding TM's interview on sixty minutes.

Extending some compassion for his daughters or expressing hope he is forced to serve his full prison sentence would have been a vast improvement on the weak: “I hope he never enters my life again.”

But McHugh doesn’t need to be likeable. She’s not a politician reliant on approval ratings or a reality TV star seeking to elongate her 15 minutes of fame.

It is Gerard Baden-Clay’s late wife, and his three surviving daughters, who have paid the deepest price for his duplicitous and violent behaviour. Their loss is unimaginable.

But, like it or not, McHugh has also been wronged. And seeking to shift blame for Baden-Clay’s crimes on to her does nothing to honour his genuine victims.

I notice there has been very little mention of Ian Walton lately. I know he was in court with the BCs early on in the trial. Perhaps he has gone back to Townsville. I think he is probably embarrassed about his "all will come out" speech - it all did come out, but probably not what he was expecting!

It makes you wonder what GBC told his family in those early days. Some big fat whopping lie no doubt. One they believed .. and thought would "come out". But there was nothing to come out, except his own pathological lies and deception. I wonder what they all think now.. after sitting day in day out in court and hearing all of the evidence. Surely at least once they have asked themselves.. did he do it? No one can be that delusional, surely.

Thanks for sharing your story and your views. You seem like a really nice person :)

I'm pretty sure we are ALL nice people on here, we may have differing opinions but it's the respect shown when opinions differ which has impressed me since joining WS.

There doesn't seem to be a cemetery at St. Paul's, anyone know where she is, if I do go up for the catchup I'd like to visit her grave and give her my love and respect.

Doing a search of cemetaries in Brisbane I can't see a grave site for Allison in Brisbane. Having said that I think that maybe the family would like to have a place that they can go in privacy to remember their beloved daughter and take the girls without people or media focusing on them. She may have even been cremated and not have a public place of burial. But out of respect for the family who have had to give so much of their lives and the life of their daughter to the public interest I can understand this completely. The Kolo bridge memorial is where the public can remember Allison.

Allison was cremated privately with only immediate family and close friends attending.

Does anyone wonder if Allison and GBC's girls will apply to change their names by de poll once they're of age and choose to each of them for themselves?

Can Allison's surname be changed by de poll posthumously?

I wondered that also. Even now the girls surname might be changed.

In the town I grew up in, a married man was convicted of murder ( awful- he sexually assaulted a high school girl, killed her & dumped her on a farm) . His wife and children stayed in the town, the children's surname was changed.

Looking through some old stuff. In the early days, it seems GBC really did say Allison went out walking at 10 o'clock that night. Very different than what was later said in court.

Ms Neilsen recounts phoning Mr Baden-Clay on April 20 after hearing Allison was missing.

"I said, 'What’s happened, where would she be?'," she says. "He said, 'She went for her normal 10 o’clock walk ... and hasn’t come back.' My reaction was, 'Ten o’clock, does she always walk at 10 o’clock?'. And he said yes."

I remember that too - at the time I thought you wouldn't catch me walking alone at that hour of the night, no matter where I lived.

Where is his 'All will come out" speech. I have never seen him speak out. He is known to be a very sincere and caring person.I thought it was Olivia who said "the truth would come out. " And of course it has.

Quoting a Bible passage that refers to being "struck down but not destroyed", Mr Walton went on to criticise coverage of the Brookfield mother-of-three's disappearance and death.

"Precious friends, on another matter you need to be aware that the media are glorying in the most revolting and salacious gossip. They seem determined to do all possible to damage and destroy.

They have virtually imprisoned us in the house! They have NO regard for Allison or her family - despite their 'crocodile tears' for Allison. I warn you that there may be more and worse to come.

One of the things I agree with in your post - they'll get you - is that TM (and her ilk) are every married woman's nightmare. However, that only applies if you have a weak husband. (I have been there!) I think successful, married women are also hit on .... and their husband's suffer slight angst about it: but women seem to be much more loyal when in a loving relationship.
If TM didn't have anything to do with Allison's murder why was she given immunity and escorted to and from court by police and at what point did she realise GBC murdered Allison, did he actually tell her or was it something he said?
Have we seen her no. 5 statement?

Exept Mr and Mrs Dickie who were gracious throughout, every surviving parent involved in Allison's murder should stop and take stock of their actions and words. Sometimes it's to late to retract things said and done but oh the selfish damage to others and their children has been horrific, stop and try to imagine the pain of Mrs and Mrs Dickie during that court case. Please imagine the pain!

Sisterhood.....I'm not going to get into a scrap fight about what happened after the fact but I'm damn sure of one thing and I've said it before....the likes of TM is every married woman's nightmare. Full stop.

He had the salacious gossip rant, I'm sure someone can link it.

Oops too late :)
