Hi Everyone
I went on an ordering craze a few months ago and still have many flavors to try. Nice look to the Mad Town Vapor site. I'll try them sometime.
Highbrow Vapor is still one of my favs for quality, especially for their unique RY4.
The Vape Mall has great prices on e-juices. (30 ml for $6.99 and 60 ml for only $10.99) Lots of flavors. Vanilla Southern is one that's popular.
Killer Juices makes this wonderful Blue Moon Ice Cream flavor. Yummy.
Mount Baker Vapor makes their famous Cinnamon Roll. I love their Blue Moo Juice too.
Vaping is not boring. Remember when we used to just buy the same brand and flavor cigarettes every single time? Vaping opens up a whole new world of choices.
I am going to be moving from my house to an apartment on the river. I really want this apartment but there is a really hefty smoking deposit there.
I want to get into smokeless cigarettes, but do not want to spend a fortune doing so. What would anyone here recommend? I want the kind that looks like a cigarette and has nicotine in it. LOL, it's psychological with me because I need (want) to feel like I'm smoking. I want the low cost option.
If anyone can help me with this I would appreciate it! TIA!
I tried the e-cigs for a while, and they just didn't do it for me. I switched to the Walgreen's version of nicotine gum and on August 5th, it will be a year for me. To this day, I still feel a little envious when I see someone smoke. I smoked for 40 years...wondering if I will ever not miss it.
Me too! a year and 4 months for me with Blu. Something told me when I started buying these not to throw the used cartridges away, so I kept ALL of them and here a year+ down the road I have now started refilling all those empty carts and am saving even more money. I still have the one pack of real cigs to look at and remind me that I will never go back to the real thing. It took me 3 years to get around to trying the e cigs but I am so glad I did and so is everyone else in my life.
Get a couple of ego or vision spinner battery's and kanger Pyrex pro tanks.
IMO they are great for even a novice.
I get most of my e-juice from Tasty Vapor.
It's all psychological for me apparently. Vaping truly met all of my needs, I have never had the urge to smoke a regular cigarette again.
If I were you, I'd pick up a disposable one.. Just try it for a day. If you like it....move up to the spinners & protanks...
Linda's suggestions can be trusted.
Wow, lately, I'm seeing a big tv commercial campaign for Vuse e-cigs here in Southern California. Who owns them?

MOO, bet they aren't anything special. Trust them that they can afford to advertise just like they did with their other products. But maybe someone here will give them a try. Please let us know about this product if you do.
I love my various colored Kanger Pro Tank2s and the minis. I'm convinced there's less metal particles from these Pyrex tanks in comparison to the cartridges. I dry-burn the coils to extend their life and it saves even more money.
Still love the box style Innokin iTaste MVP2 - I've gotten days of use without ever having to re-charge and it works consistently.
Just found this thread and wanted to chime in with my experience.
I have been a smoker for about 25 years. On Valentine's day I bought a KangerTech GeniTank mini. I have not smoked one single cigarette since, nor have I wanted to or had any cravings. I started off using 12 mg nicotine juice and still have over half the bottle left, but have gone down to 6mg now. Hopefully soon I will be down to 3 mg.
My favorite brand of juice so far is Charlie Noble. All of the flavors are really good that I have tried.
I highly recommend this for anyone trying to quit smoking. The only thing I would add is that you should go to a vape shop for supplies. The stuff they have at gas stations/ convenience stores is no where near as good of quality.
Found this thread the other day and it got my "I really wanna quit 'juices'" going again.
I've had a a prescription for chantex stuck to my refrigerator for months, but the chatter is so negative I keep stalling.
It's really heartening to read all the positive reviews,so thanks everyone for that. I'm quoting your post b/c yesterday i picked up my first disposable blu, and today I just opened my 2nd one. I plan on using the disposables for a few days before I delve into the starter kit arena. Now I'm trying to get my BFF to try this as well.
I have one question for those of you who are using products like Blu, are the brand name products sold in "vape shops?" It seems as if these shops are more about their own products and juices.
Thanks again everyone for sharing. I'm feeling very hopeful about this.
SUBSCRIBING! I haven't read the entire thread yet but this sure got me interested. ($95 a carton incl. tax). I have been interested in e-cigs but don't know anyone who has tried them. But I don't know many smokers anymore as most have managed to quit. I look forward to reading everyone's comments.
Started using e-cigs last August, picked up the e-cig, haven't smoked a real cigarette since, me and DH were both pack a day smokers, now I only use the e-cig when out socialising and then I can take it or leave it, DH still uses his daily, but again only when having after work drinks. We order ours from Veppo and you can choose the amount of nicotine in the cartridges. It makes the transition very easy and unnoticeable.
I quit smoking middle of April - really wasn't sure it would click so didn't even pay attention to the day. I've tried: gum, patches, Chantix (made me violently ill). So many times. Tried Blu, twice. It wasn't satisfying at all to me, and I'm glad for those of you that it works for!
I went to a vape shop and told them how much I smoked (2 packs/day) and what I didn't like about Blu (I need taste and to SEE some vapor, I guess). She sold me an eLeaf iStick 20 watt because, she said, I'd get more battery life and also the ability to vape while plugged in, and variable wattage (which I had no idea why that would be important to me then but do now). Two tanks, one a top loader that I don't remember anymore because I got no flavor from it after the first couple of days and a iClear 16b which is pretty good and I keep my after dinner cinnamon flavor in. And 3 small bottles of juice (she told me what strength to get based upon how much I smoked). I loved that I could taste the flavors in advance, so I got one creamy, one tart and the cinnamon. All that cost $85 which is $10 more than I spent for a carton that only lasted 5 days!
3 weeks later I wasn't out of juice but I went back and told her about the one tank I didn't like and got an Aspire Nautilus which holds enough for a whole day and is fantastic, flavor-wise. And some more juice, just cuz. That was another $65
So now, $85 + $45 = $150. During the same amount of time, I'd have spent about $600. Dang. There are so many models out there that if you wanted, you could spend a whole lot more, but I'm fine with what I've got. Looking forward to lowering the strength, though. My family is ecstatic, especially because I haven't had a real ciggie, even though during that time, I've had major renovations to my house, company, visited my in-laws, and I've been nursing a very, very sick doggie.
(No, the vape shops don't sell the ones make by the ciggie manufacturers) One that is near me sells only their own juice, and the other sells many different brands of juice. Both sell several different models of batteries and tanks.
Just checking in to say that I am still smoke free. It will be 4 months on the 14th.
I have moved on from my KangerTech, and am now using a eGO ONE. It has a bigger tank and better flavor. Also I'm finding that the coils last a super long time. I'm getting like 2 weeks + out of each coli.
I also found a juice company online that is VERY economical. Its called "vape wild". Good quality, selection. Fantastic prices. And their customer service is exceptional. With every order they throw in sample juices for you to try.
Oh yes.....and most importantly...I am down to 3,mg.
That's awesome, Xara!
Great prices at Vape Wild, wow! Do you buy the pre-steeped? Or how do you steep?
Has anybody found a good CHOCOLATE one yet? I so much want a chocolate that isn't mint!
I haven't tried any chocolate juices yet. I don't think we're allowed to link other forums, but if you google "chocolate e juice" click on the link for the e-cig forum. There is a whole thread. Also, I find that YouTube has a lot of juice reviews too.
As for steeping....I keep my juices on a shelf in my linen closet....so a dark relatively cool place. So far though, I've found that the shipping time has been sufficient for most juices. The only one I noticed a big difference on was the vanilla cloud from vape wild.....it has definitely gotten better with age.
Well it's been about 2 months for me, and I've only "craved" a real cig 2x. Just sucked hard on the ecig though and that was that.
I got the blu starter kit b/c I want easy, everything else just seems so damn complicated. Also, for whatever reason there aren't many vape shops by me, and so I just didn't want to get involved with all of that.
Blu while convienent has some definite shortcomings. One of the things I do like however is how easy it is to buy locally. Through my research I found what seems to be a very good compromise to me. A company called "magic mist" (LMFAO on that) makes batteries and cartridges that are compatible with all the major ecig brands. Blu, logic, etc. from the reviews I learned that their batteries and cartridges are far superior to Blu, so I figured what can I loose? I ordered a stater kit, which included 2 batteries, and 2 packages of cartridges (5 each), and I was also able to specify my nicotine level which no one else seemed to offer. Kit was very reasonably priced, and I got a new customer discount as well. When my kit arrived they had thrown in an extra pack of cartridges that they are test marketing.
I figured if I didn't like their cartridges, then I could just continue to buy Blu ones locally. Their cartridges are definitely superior, so I'll keep ordering from them, and @$8.95 a pack when ordering 4 they are much cheaper. What's great though is if I get caught short I can always just buy a Blu pack to tide me over.
I recommend them to anyone who likes the convience of a battery/cartridge combo.
I had a simply horrible week last week. Dog 2, who is 8 months old, had a surgery that was aborted when her little insides weren't as expected, so we'll have to medically manage her condition and she went through the surgery for nothing (nobody's fault, just a thing). Dog 1, who is 4 or so and was a horribly abused in his past and who is my heart, popped his hip out of place while doing absolutely nothing. I've never heard such a scream in my life. My husband has never heard ME scream like that, ever. All this on the same day, while out of town (for the surgery).
But I didn't go for cigarettes. In fact, a few days later, I went back to the vape store and got some lower strength juices. I have a good bit of the higher strength still, which I'm using in the morning and if things get tough around here. My new favorite juice is Good Life Deadly Sin . . . Mmmmmmmm! The babies are going to be fine, and so am I!
I'm happy to hear that you stuck with the vape and also that you are lowering your nic.
VERY happy that your babies are going to be okay!
This is a really hard thread to read. So, I'm not reading any more, have just skipped around in it, but I do want to say before I go ...
One day I had a doctor appointment, and while he was talking to me, he said (somewhat loudly) "Why do we do these things to our bodies?" I just gaped at him in shock! He continued, "The whole time we've been talking, you've had your hands around your mouth (I had no idea I was doing that) because you want a cigarette so bad.." More followed, he was basically yelling at me.
When I left, walking out of the building, I passed a trash can, and paused long enough to wad up a new pack of cigarettes (19 left), and tossed it in the can, and walked away from cigarettes forever.
Granted, I sucked the He!! out of lemon drops and Werther's candy for a couple of years, but didn't actually crave nicotine. The last day I smoked was in 1997. I had smoked for 43 years. I regret so much that my husband didn't quit when I did, he might still be alive....
I couldn't quit if I tried using something to wean off of it because when you do that, you are still hanging on to the thought of smoking. Guess my brain stopped smoking at the doctor appointment, and my body just had to deal with it!
I thank God frequently for letting me see a doctor who really cared, enough to actually yell about it.
Good luck to all of you. You will feel so much better when the day comes that you don't even have to think about cigarettes.
And, yeppers, smoking does make wrinkles around your mouth.
Started using Kanger Tech Evod2 a month ago. Have only smoked 2 pks real cigs since then. Was a 2 pk a day person. Hard trying to find a flavor I can stick with all day and the right nic level, but am going to continue forward.
ETA: been smoking for 50 years.
