Have these two been eliminated as possibles for BK? I could not find threads that said that they have. If so, why? Both are good candidates; both have distinctive noses, both have distinctive eyes. Roger Ellison is spot on for height. Jon is in the range. I am discounting weight for both, as they were both young when missing, so the weight may have changed considerably.

Jon was planning to go to U of Colorado at Boulder. He may have been there several times, scouting out the campus, thus BK's memories of the library. Jon was from Boulder, so would have perhaps gone to the same restaurants/known of the same sites in the area that BK does. FWIW, Jon was born in San Francisco. I realize Jon's age is younger than BK's, but the other similarities are intriguing.

Roger is young too, which is a negative, but there are also similarities. Both his parents (who would be the ones mos likely to recognize him) are dead.

I know I am throwing alot of stuff on the board, and if it is big problem, please let me know. I am searching for people with similarities, as I feel that the answer is right in front of us, and we just need to find the right fit.

I don't know if I can say this here, but I felt that Roger was a great match for BK (looks and structure). The age difference (BK's estimated age and Roger's age are rather far off) and BK say's he doesn't ski, and has no memories of skiing. I hadn't seen Jon's (until tonight) to compare. Jon's nose doesn't look the same as BK's, IMO, on a quick glance, but as with everything else, time and things change many things?

Personally, I don't have a problem with your putting things on the board, I like to see the joint efforts in looking. Hopefully someone will let us know what is acceptable or not?

Bless you Jules, for continuing searching.

Roger Ellison:
He was discussed at length.
But, he has another thread on WS, as
people believe he was murdered
and are trying to match
UID's in CO.

I think they have someone in mind.

fwiw:
Also, the teacher named in Charley Project, has been on line
stating that he is not, was not, involved, etc.

Jon Truscott Haynes:
His age now would be 47.
He arrived in CO July 22.
he called his dad July 23,
He talked to a friend July 24,
his car
was found July 26, no sign of him
since then.

IMO:
This is not BK.
I think Jon H is no longer with us.
He had barely been in town long enough to
do anything.

Julessleuther:
I am glad you are out there
finding people.

I don't really check any more
on missing persons boards.
I am trying to track down
other leads.

It is fine with me.

You need help with your stuff too? LOL I am procrastinating from my school work anyway. :)

Yes, I have been on that thread too. I was/am hoping they are wrong and he was not been murdered. Roger Ellison has DNA in CODEC too, I believe, so it would have been cross-referenced I am guessing, but who the heck knows anymore.

Hey--the DNA made me think of something. I have heard of rare occurrances of someone having more than one DNA avail in their body, especially if they were supposed to be a twin and the other twin was obsorbed into them (or something like that) I think there was a CSI episode about that and I remember researching it and found out it is real. Maybe BK has more then one DNA? I suppose that even if he did, since they would be biological, they would still match an missing person though, right?

Edit: Here it is! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chimera_(genetics) and here is a famous case:
[ame]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lydia_Fairchild[/ame]

So, even if BK does not have chimera, perhaps a parent did, so the testing results would be more inconclusive? Bizarre! Ok, now I am starting to sound like those crazies with the alien theory!! :slap:

Hey Jules, if it makes you feel better, I've often heard that "truth is stranger than fiction"... so looking outside the box is perfectly good in my book! :blushing:

I too, have been hoping and praying that Roger wasn't or hasn't been murdered. BK's case led me to Roger's case, and I pray hard that both cases are resolved.

Jules:
I have read about chimera also.

And isn't there something about
bone marrow being donated and
that it turns changes the dna.
http://www.wisegeek.com/can-getting-a-blood-transfusion-change-my-dna.htm

There are some transfusion procedures which can change the recipient's DNA, however. Bone marrow transfusions, for example, often require that the recipient's own blood and marrow be destroyed in order to reduce the chances of rejection. Once the donated marrow begins producing red blood cells again, the white blood cells would most likely contain the DNA of the donor, not the recipient. This is why finding a close genetic match for bone marrow donation can be so vital.

I wouldn't rule Jon out just yet. If you take a look at the photo here:

http://www.forthelost.org/jhaynes.html

it seems he has a scar near the thyroid, but it could be the photo also. Also seems he may have a scar on the left side of his jaw, but could be the photo. Anyone else?

Has Roger been ruled out? If so, why?

Please refer to "Read here first-Missing person's compared to Benjaman Kyle"
at

[ame="http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showthread.php?t=82479"]READ HERE FIRST - MISSING PERSONS compared to Benjaman Kyle - Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community[/ame]

(listed on the first page for Ben)

and you will be able to see who has and hasn't been ruled out, up to 4-6-09 when the file was put together. After that refer to the Sub file "Sleuth's possible matches for BK", pages 1 and 2.

Don't see the scars, but here is a side by side. It is so hard to say, because even at 18. people change so much. I cannot believe how different some of the people I went to high school with are as they have aged. (Not me though, I look EXACTLY the same!

I was wondering what Jon might look like today - are you aware of any pics of his dad James Haynes?

Is there a computer aged pic of him? I see the scar on the jaw you see, but I don't see the scar near thyroid yet.. I'll try to fins a bigger pic.

=======================================

Jon Haynes:
I do not see a scar.

But,
IF, if, Jon Haynes is a possibility for BK,
then, he went missing 7/24/1981.

Might have been easier to get another
ssn then.
He was only 18, would not be expected to have
one previously.

imo: I think Jon Haynes is dead.

It could just be me. When I open the page up, I go to 200% on the page and it just seems something is there.
Could be a smear in the photo enlarging it too.

Is anyone good with photoshop where they could take the hair off of the missing person and add it to Benjaman's regressed photo?
