W. Columbia Searches for Missing Man
West Columbia, SC (WLTX) - West Columbia Police are looking for man who hasn't been seen since earlier this week.

Officers say 22-year-old Adam Berry has been missing since Wednesday, when he left a home on McSwain Drive with 25-year-old Michael Sulier. Berry was driving a blue 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse with a paper tag on it. The vehicle has a dent in the driver's side door and a black hood.

His facebook shows a much younger looking man than the news pic did. Since LE are mentioning foul play already I am concerned

Poking around on Facebook yields the name of a person who may be involved. Check the girlfriend's page. And based on that, you can go to his page and find out that he has a history of violence and being in jail.

West Columbia police continue search for missing man
Area law enforcement says it's already taken a number of public tips concerning the disappearance of 22-year-old Adam Berry. Yet still authorities say they have yet to get information to lead to a break in the case. “We've actually gotten a few [tips] through Crimestoppers,” Capt. Scott Morrison of the West Columbia Police Department said. “If [the public] knows anything we'd appreciate the help.”

No new details have emerged concerning Berry's disappearance.

On Saturday, Orangeburg County authorities were called to a remote area off Monaco Road located about five miles west of North town limits where a farmer reported a burned-out vehicle.

Officials found the burned remains of a body inside the vehicle, authorities said.

West Columbia Police Capt. Scott Morrison said authorities at both investigative agencies are comparing their findings with one another... Morrison said there is no confirmation the individual located in western Orangeburg County is Berry or that the two cases have been proven to be connected.

The extended stay motel where he was seen leaving with MS gets TERRIBLE reviews on Trip advisor. People report vermin, prostitutes, drug deals, and "questionable people" loitering.

From reading FB, it's obvious that it is known who is most likely responsible for this young man's disappearance. It doesn't sound good for those folks if LE doesn't pick them up and get them into their custody ASAP!

An autopsy was scheduled for Sunday, but the Coroner's Office tells us now that they still don't have an identity on the human remains.

The deputy coroner tells says his office has sent a sample to SLED's DNA lab, and they're hoping DNA can be extracted. He says the body is so badly burned, it's hard to tell if the victim is a male or female at this point...

"The evidence that was found down there is being examined and looked at, and we hope, within the next several days, to have results back on that, and then we can make an identification on the individual that was down there,” Morrison said.
