I was working at psychiatric hospitals around this time (1997). Many hospitals had the admitting nurse take photos of patients (polaroids) to put into their charts or medication logs for identification purposes, as arm bands were not used due to safety issues. I'll never forget the toothless old guy who did the perfect impression of "Bitter Beer Face" for his picture - it took all I had not to burst out laughing!Why would they take his picture in the hospital? And if they did, it probably would be protected by privacy laws.
