This body has not been ID'd yet but it seems it was not Malik. Appears to have been a different man who went missing mid-Dec. The man's family members found the body in a search:

Relatives of a missing South Carolina teenager have doubled the reward for information leading to the Lobeco teen who vanished on his way to school.

The Island Packet reports the family of Malik Spencer is now offering $4,000.

    Spencer’s mother, Michelle Spencer-Ransom,
says she last saw her 18-year-old son at approximately 7 a.m. on Dec. 17 when he left for school and she left for work. But she says the Whale Branch High School senior never made it to school, back home that night or to his part-time job the following day.
Reward doubled as search continues for teen missing since December

They checked the car for HIS dna, but I’m very hopeful they processed it for prints etc, there’s no word on who or what they’re investigating from here. So sad.

awh he was a dubs fan even tho he was across the country.

On his fb he made a status about not believing guys when they bad mouth a woman because "they be hurt" maybe there was a love triangle? it was the day before he disappeared is why I point it out.
