Re Paul's car being found on the side of Route 63 the day after the murders: Detective Rutland said that through her investigation she learned that Paul had switched cars with his uncle John Marvin and that when John Marvin got a call the night of the murders, he rushed over to Moselle but the car he was driving (Paul's) broke down.

So now we know from statements by defense attorney JG during the cross exam of detective Rutland that Paul switched vehicles with his uncle (John Marvin) and it was the uncle that left Paul's F250 truck disabled in the neighboring county.

The location of MM's Mercedes is still unknown (not discussed) at the time of the murders but from Rutland's testimony, she confirmed this vehicle was towed to impound under a search warrant.

It sounds like there was an ATV (4-wheeler) near MM's body where detective Rutland noted an earring near the tire.

AM drives the Chev Suburban.

MOO

I looked for link that John took truck but couldn’t find it. Thanks for this info.

From yesterday's trial.

18h

Alex Murdaugh has been inside the courthouse meeting with his attorneys ever since court adjourned about 40 mins ago.

We see gruesome crime scene photos in the majority of trials we cover across the nation.
Defendant #AlexMurdaugh escorted outside and into the metal cage inside the van. Day 2 of trial.

Has there been any testimony about MM allegedly driving from Edisto to Moselle that day/evening and why she did that? TIA.
Not that I have heard so far - I'm thinking they will introduce that later since there was mention of MM's Mercedes being towed from the scene for processing (during Det. Rutland's testimony).

One thing that really stuck with me when listening to the 911 call was that he told them his going up the house to retrieve a weapon then come back down. Now putting myself into the scene, I show up at the scene I see my wife and son basically slaughtered in an area that is wide open with dozens of places for an intruder/ killer to hide. So I decide to leave the area that could still hold a killer but instead of holding up at the house with your weapon and back to the wall eyeballing every window I head on back down to the open area and once again expose myself to possible attack from...everywhere. My moma didn't raise no dummy and you would find me up at the house waiting for police to arrive, weapon at the ready.
Yes!! Especially since he told police immediately that it could be someone targeting his family about the boat death. If the mother was a target (not just the son) than logically wouldn't the father be a target of the same people? He knew there was no threat.
