John Marvin is a happy little family apologist and schmoozer.
AM is like Anthony Fremont, played by Billy Mumy in the Twilight Zone episode "It's a Good Life." The family could not say anything bad about him or think bad thoughts or else Anthony would send them to the cornfield forever. Maybe AM's whole family was and still is worried they'd/they'll be next if they crossed/cross him.

Yesterday someone (can't recall whom, sorry) posted the link to the first LE bodycam video at Moselle, and I noticed when LE approached him, AM had a flashlight in his hand - any theories on why he would have one? What he may have been looking for?

Alex may not have lied. He may not have realized the truck switch out. JM said that JM and Paul had identical trucks. Maybe Alex didn't pay attention.

I’ve always wondered if this comment by Blanca about seeing a white truck at the kennels had any significance .

It’s one of those things that I thought maybe the Prosecution would circle back to. So it stuck in my head like the wedding band, the cooler and the Gucci charge on the Belk statement.

Trying to keep all the trucks straight is making my head spin lol.

this is what stuck in my head: the 911 call. he is interviewed in August 2021 (still lying to LE he was never at the kennels) and LE reads a passage of the transcribed 911 call.

AM is asked in the interview: "what are you referring to when you say here" on the 911 call. on the video its right after 911 asks him if there is a weapon(s) there and he says no, and then says "here" as if he is talking to someone. not panicked voice.

devil in the details while lying he was never at the kennels: he doesnt recall saying the word HERE, he would have to listen to it, says there wasnt a dog out, and then says something to the effect you asking me if Im calling a dog....LE says thats what we want to know, dog or talking to somebody else.... says nobody else was out there (he was previously asked about where the dogs were...dogs were where they were...he didnt put any dogs up ) <-----everyone knows the drill with his answers. he was stunned LE picked up on the utterance and further his moving around (LE said its heard on the call).

then starts mumbling about 'things' on the internet to deflect.

I dunno, IMO he is one scary dude.

According to his Defense attorneys ole Alec is just so scatterbrained that he leaves clothes all over the State at all the various places he’s visited and stayed at.

If you don’t believe that, then it’s the fact that ole Alec lost so much weight from grieving and detoxing that he had to buy new clothes and get rid of stuff.

If that doesn’t seem reasonable, then his attorneys just pound the table and say “ to this day no one has asked him for those clothes!”

JMO
Yet they conspicuously failed to produce the shirt or shoes.

I was just listening to some of the older Murdaugh Murder Podcasts. Phenomenal journalism and deep dives into the money and Alex’s connections with drug smugglers and traffickers. The speculation is that his land deals with Barret Boulware were for properties used for lookouts and offloading of “product” because of their isolation and access to waterways. This is so much bigger than we’ve heard in court.

Early on after the tape was released I thought I heard him say something to someone once on that 911, like he was standing right next to someone. First thing I thought was, oh had his brother gotten there already? Very well could have been him talking to a loose dog.

I am definitely not any sort of legal expert.. but a few thoughts based on my following of the case thus far [all IMO]:

1. I am a firm believer that while Alex may have had some addiction to opioids, a vast majority of any pills found were relative to his and cousin Eddie's drug trade. I am really feeling like this whole 'super-addiction' ($50-60k/week's worth) is clearly more of a cover than any reality.

2. While masterminded by Alex, I am now strongly considering that Alex convinced someone close to him (perhaps cousin Eddie) to assist him in the murders. Eddie was familiar with the property as a handyman. They also have an established relationship, means of communication (hidden from plain sight), plenty of dirt on each other (to say the least). In theory, Alex would continue funneling funds to Eddie and they would both use his connections to evade any long-term repercussions.

As noted in an article (here), following the so-called suicide attempt, “I wouldn’t advise him to try to set me up,” Smith said. “I’d strongly advise him against that.”

How I see that the murders could've played out:
(a) Eddie snuck around the end/side of the feed room where Paul was and shot him. Didn't matter that Paul's remains sprayed on him, as he was able to flee the scene, and dispose of any DNA evidence as needed.
(b) Alex, walking the property casually with gun in hand (as typical), then shoots Maggie from a longer range. Since it's dark outside at the time and distance affects accuracy, multiple shots were required.

- Eddie vacates the property.
- Alex remains on the property, ensures crime scene aligns with alibi (or so he thinks), etc.

3. While perhaps not sitting as cushy as years prior, Alex definitely has loads of his illegal money stashed and is by no means 'broke'. He's not dumb. Paying people off gets expensive, whether threat/execution of bodily harm is complementary or not. Sucks for anyone he owes money to though, as they will never see a dime once he has run through his remaining, dwindling assets.

4. This upcoming 'jury visit' smells fishy. I hope I'm wrong, but I have a bad feeling that a juror(s) or member of the prosecution is going to be threatened, harmed, blackmailed, or similarly 'persuaded' by Murdaugh & Co. This might also help explain yesterday's odd looks/staredowns/smiles from Murdaugh towards the jury, feeling and knowing in his mind that he'll soon get his way.

I could see it being planned out over this past weekend (including conspiring with the necessary LE personnel and/or court officials) as a last ditch effort, in order to produce either a mistrial or a hung jury.

As per this article:
"He [DH] also said law enforcement would escort the jury after Harpootlian alerted him to the presence of intruders at the property, which is about 20 miles from the Colleton County courthouse where Murdaugh's trial is taking place."

If only LE escorts would be a good thing!

I'm thinking it's this sex worker

I find her completely credible, her story makes me so glad he's off the streets, but I don't know if it would help the prosecution. Could steal the focus from the murders, maybe even engender some backlash.

I do wonder if this is where all his money was going.

He just heard it very recently, maybe a week ago I think is what he claims. I don’t see him calling Sled while the trial is going on or even calling them at all to report that.

Any reason for him to call Sled and say guess what, that’s my brother’s voice?
Respectfully, JMM was just one more witness that SLED played the video for during the investigation where JMM said the three voices were PM, MM, and AM.

However, what JMM just learned very recently was AM admitting that he was at the kennels shortly before the victims were murdered. He learned this in court with the rest of us when AM took the stand and testified.
