It must be the season for bizarre flight stories out of Scotland. Following a boy band singer passing out through wearing 12 layers of clothes, a Scottish teen girl has now been refused permission to board a plane because she was too white.

14-year-old Grace Wain was with her family at Manchester airport waiting to fly to their dream holiday in the Maldives. Check-in staff took one look at Grace's pale complexion though, and said she was too sick to fly. Even after a paramedic gave her the all-clear, Etihad airline staff still demanded a doctor's confirmation, despite dad Paul's protest that, 'We live in Scotland!'

The headline of the article at the link implies Grace was refused permission to board because she is 'ginger' haired, but the story itself says nothing of the kind. Another little bit of bizarre to add to this strange story...

Oh how ridiculous!!! :doh:Then have a doctor examine her!FGS.:gaah: My daughter is also of Celtic and Ukrainian heritage, and except for the hair color, she is just as pale. Her middle name is Celine, which means fair, so we joke that she is Celine the Fair! Hope they let her fly back from Ireland then...

LOL at the brief "doctor's note."
