How sad to make it to age 78 and be so distressed and lost. My prayers for a positive outcome.

Oh man I hate seeing these reports. It's a disservice to the elderly to not protect them from themselves when they exhibit symptoms of dementia. It's a tough row to hoe. Either lock them up in a care facility or let them die of exposure/assault/starvation. Going through this now with a parent.

From Rapid City, SD to Adams County, CO would have been a very long drive for someone her age, I would think. Could she have left on Sunday to drive down and had an accident along the way ?

Denver appears to be very close to Adams County, CO, where she had a scheduled court appearance. She almost made it. Just happy she is safe.

They did get hammered with a storm. She could have left before the storm. Denver is about 6 hours from Rapid City. I used to live in Rapid.
